Matches Thread- Volleyball visits Cal (Weds., 4:00 MT) and hosts #15 Utah (Senior Night, Fri., 8:00)

Oh well. Frustrating loss, but no disgrace to lose to the #15 (or 13 in RPI) Utes.

In the Pac 12 standings, the Buffs are now assured of a 5th place finish. With OSU just losing, the only team that can tie the Buffs for 5th at 12-8 is UCLA, who "travels" tomorrow evening to face USC in their final matches of the season.

And, as a reminder, the NCAA selection show is on ESPNU at 7:00 PM MT this Sunday evening. (I'll probably start a separate thread for that tomorrow.) Hopefully the Buffs can have some fans come out and support them where ever they end up going!

I'm sure that when BeBe has the time and inclination she'll write an informed postmortem about this match.

It was my first volleyball experience in person this season. After the Buffs rolled to an too easy victory in the first set Utah seemed to adjust their block and the Buffs weren't able to overcome that tactical change.
