Matt McChesney throws the hammer down - MUST LISTEN

I realize that our first three games give McChesney justification for pulling a complete 180 with his disposition but nonetheless here's what he said just one month ago:

http://howell.pmpblogs.com/2012/08/05/74/

The state of CU football: “I think they’re on the right path. I think they (head coach Jon Embree and offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy) are fantastic coaches and I really hope the people in Boulder give them the time to rebuild the disaster that Dan Hawkins built. Dan Hawkins was maybe the worst thing that’s ever happened to CU football. Ever. Ever. It astonishes me that he’s on a show on ESPN called, ‘The Experts.’ “Once they can reverse the lack of tradition that was there and get back to what it was when I was there (2000-04), in that regard I think you’ll start winning games because of who you are. If you’re a hard-nosed, tough football team that’s not going to quit, you’re going to win some football games over teams that will (quit). We’ve been that team the last six years, the team that quits and doesn’t have the heart.” He added that he thinks it’ll take another 3 years for CU to become a 9 or 10-win team.

I'm pretty sure 95% of people were in that corner before the season. Then we lost the 3 easiest games on the schedule in impressive fashion.

The sunshine was also bright when Hawk said we'd win 10. Then we lost to an awful CSU at HOME and the board turned on him. Reality sets in when it's apparent that the coach isn't the future. We didn't have to beat down SacSt by 41 (although that would have been nice). We didn't have to pummel the Rams, but the team should have won. The board would have blown up if we had won both games by 1 point, but they would have been Ws.

Good coaches find a way to win against inferior opposition.

I like his attitude in his response but it doesn't change the fact that CU is clearly not performing well in the aspects that involve coaching. Discipline, Preparation, Technique, Mental Decisions. I think they all point to coaching. I think those are the issues Embree needs to address for his players.

Coaches need to do a better job of getting them in a position to make better decisions with there play calling also. That is the other coaches issues.

All this is brutally obvious on t.v.

Someone told me today that it was Justin Bannan who was driving the golf cart that ran over McChesney's leg and ended his career (sorry if that's common knowledge). I'm suprised he didn't sue him, even NFL backups like McChesney was still make a couple hundred thousand a year. Meanwhile Bannan is still in the leauge collecting a big paycheck.

You get a big neg rep for that, J-R-K. Consider it a lifetime achievement award.

Matt refused Justin's offer of his salary for the year, Matt is a very emotional guy, just knock his IPhone overboard and see what happens, if you know him ask Tufts what happens.
