Maui Invit. thread - MEN'S BBall (Mon., 11/25/24-vs. (RV) Mich. State, 3:00 PM MT, ESPN2; Tuesday-#2 UConn or (RV) Memphis (ESPN or ESPN2) & TBA Wed.)

Game should have been a blowout, would have won by double digits going away if this team makes free throws

This is exactly what I expected we would look like when we played real teams lol

Not many opportunities for bad losses in the Big XII and we just got a signature win, so if this team can get to .500 it will be in the NIT.
Let's see what happens. Another opportunity for a big win tomorrow (especially if the opponent is top 5 Iowa State), fairly easy rest of the OOC after Maui. Should be 9-2 worst case going into league play. Then go 8-12 or 9-11 in Big 12 play. That's 18-19 wins, and that's an NCAA profile-especially in what's an absurdly deep league.

That was awesome. One of those times I searched for the postgame and listened to it for over a half an hour.

They played smart, tough, and with desire.

Fun win! Congrats to those who made the trip!

Looking forward to tomorrow, looks like the tipoff for the CU game is scheduled to be at 12:30 PM MT, and they will be facing the winner of #5 Iowa State and Dayton. (Their game is scheduled to begin at 6:30 PM MT. Both the potential opponents are coming off TIGHT (2 point) losses yesterday after ISU fell 83-81 to #4 Auburn while Dayton lost 92-90 to #10 North Carolina.)

What a game. I have to eat crow. After watching this team earlier in the seaon, I never thought they'd have a chance to beat UConn. It was like watching a different team. Fewer turnovers. Shot the ball well, other than fre throws. Good help Defense. I hope this team shows up all year.
