McKnight out wit broken leg

Senior wide receiver Scotty McKnight suffered a broken fibula during Thursday’s scrimmage, and will miss the remainder of spring practice. Forced out-of-bounds after a catch, McKnight ran hard into a railing and had to be helped from the field. McKnight later returned in a boot and crutches.
 
That is what Ringo originally reported on the Scout message board. Supposedly Hansen said that is what Scotty told him. But later in the evening the CU SID released that the trainer saw nothing abnormal on the MRI and that it was a lower leg injury with no Achilles damage. I guess that leaves it open that it could have been a break, but it could also be a bad sprain. A lot of people have said they'd rather it be a broken fibula than a high ankle sprain. I suppose that opinion is dependent on the severity of the sprain and whether it's not a compound fracture and that there is no ligament damage.
 
Get well soon Scotty! This kid plays lights out, and knows how to get open. I remember he recovered from his injury a few seasons ago, and led all receivers. He's a hero--he'll be fine.
 
i too hope it is a broken bone and not the dreaded high ankle sprain. the only upside is a bunch of reps for the younger guys.
 
If he is out, how are we ever going to get plays into the huddle on offense? This is going to cause major problems in our player groupings.

Might as well cancel the rest of spring practice now.

Scotty McKnight out in NY for spring break. ankle is feeling better and just found out there is no break! ill bounce back quickly. thanks for all the get well wishes.
