Belichick is right there among the best DCs in NFL history for the work he did under Parcells.

Belichick is right there among the best HCs in NFL history for the work he did with the Patriots (and even the culture & standards he set with the Browns that laid the foundation for the Ravens' greatness).

Belichick is washed and, beyond that, is a horrible fit for coaching college.

Midlife crisis hit him well after midlife. The guy is a fat old man who no longer connects with the young men who are his players. North Carolina is a mess.

As listed above the speculation about UNC finding reasons to fire him for cause so far have been speculative and coming from questionable sources but it would be shockingly incompetent if the administration there isn't doing serious investigation to see if they can find cause that would stand up in court while negotiating with his agent to find an agreement to resign that both sides can live with.
