Does CU give the media a package for their stories? Many days, the BDC, DP and Longmont papers will carry very similar CU football stories - almost always the same player and quotes. Here are stories from todays BDC and yesterday's DP. Seems like these guys put out exactly what CU wants:

CU doesn't give the media access to every player every day. On certain days, the media will have access to certain players. The media members will all congregate around the player(s) and conduct their interviews all at the same time.

You are correct that the media puts out exactly what CU wants, or rather, exactly what CU will let them.

The official media releases are distributed and posted on CUbuffs.com and they often prompt similar stories.

However, I believe the real reason the stories are similar is all reporters get their ideas from Allbuffs. :nod: If you read it here first, you'll read it in the Camera tomorrow.
