Mike MacIntyre officially fired effective immediately

RG can say he evaluates at the end of the year but we all know the evaluation process started a long time ago and should, and hopefully will result in HCMM being terminated by Monday (although if he coaches the last game or not is not something I personally care that much about). Given the early signing period and the coaching positions that are opening I cannot believe RG is going to wait.

I think Mac made a strong case for another year. Hopefully he can turn it around in 2019.
Bold move not using the sarcasm font. Guaranteed it's going to go right over some folks head...

and right on queue:
You can’t be serious?! In 6 years he has 0 wins vs ranked teams. Only reason he’s had any success is the Pac-12 has been suspect

MM rebuilt SJS but no one knows if he would have won any league championships or maintained a winner

MM rebuilt Colorado and proved he cannot win championships or maintain a winner

Good guy, good luck at your next rebuild!

Time to find a championship capable coach, the rebuild is over except on the OL

Can we please stop with the Whittingham posts? Sure he’s obviously a better coach than Mac, but he’s below .500 in the PAC. That’s not what I, personally, want in a new HC. Obviously you’re entitled to your opinion, but I would hope RG would aim higher than a career <.500 coach in a weak conference.

Hard to believe that despite going 8-1 in the PAC in 2016, HCMM is likely going to finish under .500 in conference over the past 3 years.

There are those who do think he deserves another chance Bc of his “coach of the year” award. Unless you personally know the guy who posted how would anyone know he’s not serious??

Yeah Miles is so much better just look at the record!

Not. Context matters. KW is a top few CFB coach.

Show me where I said Les Miles was who I would prefer? He’s at Kansas anyways and not who I was hoping for. Don’t put words in my mouth

Because unlike NU, there are very few CU fans who are objectively stupid.

Most CU fans are above average in intelligence.

He seems like a classy guy, not prone to emotional angry decisions or some kind of silly retribution. As has been said before, Mac has been good for this team, in spite of the huge disappointment this season has been, he doesn’t deserve to be further disgraced.
Who said anything about retribution? If the decision is made, then make it official and let’s get moving.

I still want Miles and the longer it goes without KU announcing the more I'm talking myself into it.

Pretty sure I'll end up like Charlie Brown with his Thanksgiving football kick on this one, but I can't help myself.

What if Miles and RG said lets talk right after the Utah game and the decisions came down to what the result was? We win and RG keeps MM and Miles can head to Kansas. We lose bad, then MM is gone and Miles is coming here? I think he still goes to Kansas, but I have similar hope like you do.

Assuming RG and Miles at least had some coversation in the last couple weeks, what does it say about the state of our program that he’d choose KU over CU? I know, a lot of factors involved but still....

Watching him say this in the conference, just wow. Sounded so pompous. You have 1 winning season, let your head deflate a bit.
It’s not ego. It’s a guy who has been told that it’s over and he’s letting his emotions get to him a bit, and scorching some earth. Hate to see it. He’s been nothing but class to this point but any more of this and I’m going to dump that image.
