The NCAA Cross Country Championships are, hopefully***, next up for both of the Buffs' cross country (XC) teams, with the selection show scheduled for this Sunday (March 7th), starting at 11:00 PM MT on ESPNU. (For those with the proper subscription, assume they can also be streamed at https://www.espn.com/watch/.)
(***I know next to nothing, but must say I'm (just) a little nervous, although I HOPE with the Buffs ranked as they are in the last pre-championships poll of the season (see below tweet), both will be selected. This is the 1st time a selection committee will be used for XC (at least for the many years I've been following) instead of the normal mathematical points (KOLAS) system. And, with are only 31 teams per gender selected, there aren't as many bids out there as in the team sports most of us are more familiar with. (The selection criteria for this weird pandemic season is summarized at https://www.ncaa.org/about/resource...-2020-di-cross-country-championships-approved))
The Championships themselves are scheduled to have coverage, also on ESPNU, beginning at 10:30 AM on Monday, March 15th. Oklahoma State is scheduled to host, with the races run at the "OSU Cross Country Course in Stillwater, Oklahoma". (I'll add more info on the Championships themselves once the selection show is over.)
