It's back to the 1990s for the Nub faithful. Any OL who hasn't been force fed corn mash & growth hormones at a college training table for a minimum of 4 years is young and exploitable. Our OL isn't young...

My dad sent me this with the note "6:06- Larry Zimmer - ball is at the bugeater 47 yard line"
I believe he (dad) was there for this one. I am beyond hyped for this weekend. I am hoping for shades of CU CSU 2016.
Byrd invited me to come with he and his wife to the game in Lincoln next season.
I'd clarify. This is a new scene in unknown territory.Byrd invited me to come with he and his wife to the game in Lincoln next season.
Don’t forget “it’ll be like Thunder Collins hitting up a trap house in Omaha”So many hype videos. From Michael Irvin last week to Prime's speech before the TCU game to the Ralphie video yesterday. I'm pumped. I want to run through a wall. I want to hit somebody.
But who? I'm stuck in normal life. I have nobody to hit, unless I wanna go to jail. I'd have to pay to fix any walls I ran through. The intensity is bottled up in me. I don't know how to unleash it.
But I just found a solution: Nub grandmas. Oh you better believe it. If I see one red clad female geriatric on Saturday, I'm making like Bishop Thomas on that poor unsuspecting Frog. I ain't stopping. She better not get up. I'll keep going til Julesburg and beyond.
Nub fans, if you're reading this, you've been warned. DO NOT BRING YOUR GRANDMAS TO FOLSOM. I will hit them like Matt Rhule hits the pregame buffet. I will hit them like Lawrence Phillips hit Scott Frost's girlfriend. Hips will be shattered, dentures will be split, girdles will burst. The blood of Nub grannies will flow like the Platte River flows from our lofty state to yours. (Sometimes, when we're not storing it in our reservoirs and you're stuck pumping water from your shrinking aquifers.) You have been warned.
(I had one more about Brook Berringer's plane hitting the ground, but even I'm not that terrible. I'll leave the jokes about dead QBs to the "classiest fans in college football".)
The Nebraska game plan and key to victory is to play a game in the 1990s.
…And his name is Reggie Hammond
Byrd’s the word.Very cool!
Who is Byrd?
Tyrone Byrd
xThe State Farm guy?
FIFYTCU was a bad matchup for CU, but the CU offense executed so well that the Buffs won the game anyway.
In contrast, CU is a nightmare matchup for Nebraska. I don’t think people realize how much better CU’s team speed is than Nebraska’s. Our playmakers will make Nebraska look silly when they get the ball in space, and that will happen early and often. In addition, the Minny game exposed Nebby’s other weaknesses on both sides of the ball, even though Minny is a slow team as well.
CU wins this game by more than 10 points, and possibly by much more than 10 points. There is a real chance that Nebraska will quit by four minutes left in the first quarter
A nub safety. Maybe related to the beautiful black woman you used in your phony profile pic for a few years.
Vada Pinson and Frank Robinson .Oh, is that the two of you in your profile pic?
Pretty self-aware, right? They want accolades for their lazy ancestors who couldn’t commit to a mountain hike?
Per 1986... This was THE play of an unbelievable day: .
Vada Pinson and Frank Robinson aren't a pathetic lie.
Blakeman is now a top NFL game officialMan, hard to believe that game was 37 years ago.
Those offenses were so simplistic. It truly was "you line your guys up, I'll line my guys up, and we'll just beat you" football.
I forgot how painful Big 8 QBs were on passing downs. I mean, the Nubs had to pull their QB and put in Clete "Iowa State" Blackman (**** you Clete!) just to have a chance at throwing the ball.
this is one of my top 10 all time wins. that is where everything turned the corner and there was validation.I have always believed the 1986 game was one of Colorado's signature wins in their history. It was definitely a turn around year for the Buffs...they started the year 0-4 including a lost to CSU and a bad Oregon team. They turned it around in conference play going 6-1 only losing to OU in the Big 8. Nebraska was undefeated and #3 in the country and had beat CU 18 years in a row. Kyle Rappold was a 5'11" 250# NT and he bottled up the middle against a Nebraska team and helped hold a NU to their lowest rushing total in a decade. That team was one of the first to start showing the benefits of McCartney's recruiting - OC Oliver was a true blue chip recruit. Arthur Walker was a top recruit from Houston who helped land the H-Boys - Kanavis McGhee and Alfred William down the road. I was crying with joy at the end of that game, it really meant a lot.
