Need To Root Against Texas Tech All Season Long

I really want this high cash influx to blow up in their faces like it did for Texas A&M a few years ago.
We really don't want them to be the Kings of the Big12.
Disagree. If it’s not CU, we need to have a team that is the marquee team. Better yet if we can have more than 1. The more teams that can compete against the big 2 leagues and win, the better for the conference overall.

As far as I am concerned, the only redeeming quality of Texas Tech was extinguished at the end of Mike Leach's last presser. A dust devil of Biblical proportions could swallow the TT AD and I would not be bothered. Other than that, I wish them well.

But not Tech.
And not TCU
And not ****Bailer. Hell no!
And not Houston.
And not ISU. Still hate how we lost there in 2007. **** Clete Blakeman forever.
And not K-State. Still burns me that they beat us last year.
And not Arizona. Definitely not those Chards.
And not Okie Lite.
And not Kansas. Hated when they took over The Keg.
And not UCF, those black and gold wannabes!
And not Utah. Definitely not them.
And not Cincy (they took Munchie Legeaux from us)
Maybe WVU - we both love burning couches.
Maybe ASU. I like Dillingham.

But no one else!

Frankly, I am impressed you can remember all the member teams. With the realignment, I feel lost.

Props for the Munchie Legeaux reset.

I had help from Google. And what else am I going to do while sitting on a plane while the ramp is shut down for lightning?

Speaking of which, since you are apparently an equal sinner: I don't think I've put either my iPad with cellular service or my phone in airplane mode in at least a decade.

I still don't know why they made such a thing about that 15+ years ago.
I've seen a mythbusters that in fact proved that it's not a concern.

But I definitely use airplane mode to save battery. Otherwise, your phone (or ipad) is constantly searching for a tower and it loses juice fast!

And who buys an IPAD with cellular service when they have a phone with hotspot capability at all times? Just asking!

I think I’m going to root for them. They made a commitment to football, improved the B12, had a cool WCWS story, have a unique tortilla tradition and will likely lose their AD to OU.

here we are, in the cheap seats.

the question that every donor and ticket holder may want to ask the CUAD: are we behind Texas Tech in funding under the new rules? if so, how much? if so, what is the solution?

no one for sure has it all figured out and different schools are taking different approaches, again. but, the framework is known.

Texas Tech beating out texassss is a warning shot.

we cannot fix a problem if we cannot quantify it. is there a delta between us and them? us and the sec? if so, how much? how do we close the gap?

And not BYU - they're just weird!

Kind of apathetic on TT because we don't play them. Only other team I'm sort of interested in UCF. The better they do, the more opportunities for Scott Frost to troll Nebraska like he did today, and the worse they look.

I think the searching for a cell connection was a battery drainer a decade ago but Apple figured out how to manage that stuff. I don’t really notice it anymore. I used to just straight up turn my phone off for that reason now I don’t even think about it.

Battery management is why I have a cell connection on my iPad. I would use the iPad to take notes in meetings while presenting on my laptop and then my cell phone is used nonstop between meetings during the day. When traveling, the phone is used nonstop off the plane and then the iPad is used nonstop on the plane.

Y'all, EMI is a real thing.
Also, it's just not hard to do, and they ask you to. Why wouldn't you do it? Just to be an ass? Because you NEED to be connected to cell towers while flying, and taking 3 hours off is gonna kill you? Because you feel like a bad boy?

Y'all, EMI is a real thing.
Yes it’s real. One of my product lines are EMI filters sold into products.

But I also spent 3 years as EE at Honeywell’s avionics group (commercial and Military avionics) and after tons of testing, they concluded that EMI created by passengers’ electronics was not a threat to the plane’s systems. In theory it is possible, but with the shielding used and the adoption of fiber optics replacing coax routing, it’s just not a real world issue.
