NFL combine

Solder just ran a 4.97 40... was called "phenomenal"... Solder also had the best short jump or whatever

Every OL coach in the NFL is going to say, "Let me have this guy and I'll turn him into a Hall of Famer." That's going to raise his draft stock. All the reports we've been reading are based on what the NFL scouts are saying. Now the coaches are getting involved. He'll benefit from that. Top 10 pick, imo.

The arm/hand measurements hurt an OL's draft stock a lot more than the bench press will. That 40 team is exactly what teams wanted to see.

I also think Scotty will get his shot, probably as an UDFA, but he will get a shot.

I'm not sure if anyone saw this but according to his Twitter, jalil is heading to Indy. Any thoughts or info?

Jets are the logical choice, but I would not be surprised to see him end up somewhere like St. Louis either.

I guess I forgot he was invited. I thought he got snubbed and ended up going after all. My bad...

didn't think this was worth starting its own thread, so I'm dropping this off here.

CU Snapper Joe Silipo is still reaching for his spot in the NFL. I honestly don't know how this works with specialists, but I have a foggy idea that few are drafted, and the rest spend a lot of time visiting camps (invited) and trying out when a veteran is injured or not doing well.

Joe will have a VERY hard time finding a spot, since our coaches split the snapping duties between Joe (a senior) and Ryan Iverson, a walk-on freshman. That may be water under the bridge for those of us who lived through the 2010 season, but it's hard for Joe to explain that coaching decision to the NFL as a hopeful long snapper, when he didn't longsnap.

Like many specialists, Joe is working with pro coaches and this tape is an example of what will be shared with any NFL teams who are in the market for a long snapper. Best of luck to him.
(Notice he's rocking his CU gear.)
