No change with play calling duties during bye week

Bored Over It GIF

Predictable as the sun rising in the morning. He more or less telegraphed that last week.
Man is Saturday going to be EPIC. Epic bad.

I have a few hypotheses.

First, it could be that HCKD does not think that there is anyone among his assistants who could do a better job than Chiv has been doing, which is pretty scary. Maybe HCKD also knows that taking on the mantle of play caller himself would be result in an epic fail, and doesn't want his fingerprints on play calling.

Or maybe HCKD thinks that they have come up with a plan that will result in a much more successful offense (like, possibly fitting the plays and calls and general tenor of the offense to fit the skill set of our quarterback, instead of stubbornly trying to make him fit to the offense, which is obviously not working so far). And thus, HCKD thinks that this might be Chiv's week to shine.

Really, it could be a combination of those two choices too.

Or maybe nobody there knows what the hell they are doing.

I think the blame goes higher than that. Dorrell has to go, sure, but RG and Lance Carl also let this happen
Honestly, I am not even mad at KD anymore. This really boils down to the athletic department failing on an absolute epic level. They hired the guy they knew wouldn't leave and wouldn't tip the boat one way or another when things went ****ty.

It also could be he doesn't view the struggles as a coaching issue, just execution. So it's the players' fault.
This, with a dash of hoping that people buy the "young" excuse. Combine that with them betting that they beat Arizona this weekend and they can say "look, everything is fine we came out of the bye week and everything is better" and it puts out the fires for a few weeks.

With that contract, RG has no choice but to play for time.

KD is a problem. The blame now shifts to him. This version of leadership and lack of accountability is the final straw. He must go.
Ducking out on a post game interview and shoving a defenseless cameraman were clues to his lack of leadership.
