Being the 5 seed wouldn't be the worst thing. It would give the Buffs a chance at an easy win in the 1st round.

An "easy" win is no benefit at all. In fact, a win over Wazzzu probably drops our RPI. A loss would be our first "bad" loss of the season and would be very damaging. A no-win situation.
