Back spasms are generally not a gradual thing. They hit at once, are insanely painful, and then take a few weeks to work themselves out. He probably has access to a lot of trainers who can help work through the condition and perhaps cut it's duration. The last time I had them, it took over a month for them to fully subside.

That's what I was thinking ... it would explain why Jelly wasn't moving much without the ball for the past few games. I can understand why Tad wouldn't want that to be common knowledge among opponents, but it did make Jelly look bad as to attitude, etc., which of course now looks ridiculous (and always should have).

Hopefully he'll have had the opportunity to heal before the Utah and AZ games ... but I say let him sit until he's 100% regardless of who the upcoming opponents are. Otherwise, his entire season could be compromised.
