Sadly, I could see BL staying...I guess a case/excuse could be made for Bernardi but Neinas...there is no reason to keep the dude IMO.I seriously doubt Lindgren is going anywhere, he had a down year calm down. They could definitely bring in a co-OC but a lot of the problems this year offensively came down to the o-line.

Would people rather see the replacement be McChesney, or some sort of "Assistant Head Strength Coach" from a big time program? Or I guess the Head Strength Coach from a G5 school?
Relax. Baer and La Russia leaving leaked a couple days before Christmas last year. S and C must be one of those things you have to move on if you want to make a change with it.

I freely admit that my patience is gone with MM. Special teams performance has been a sucking chest wound for ten years, and fixing it has to be priority one.I agree. I'm purely speculating-don't shoot the messenger. If I had my way, we'd be making a coaching change right now.
Is Toby N tied to any of our recruits?Meh. Some firings can be very public, but others cannot? It is a stupid policy.
Don't care. Recruit first. Is Toby N tied to any of our recruits?
When the season ended I was of the mindset that new blood could potentially bring a few recruits with them. Now I just hope Toby is replaced with someone who has a track record of success in special teams
How long before it was announced in Foreman's case? How would anyone here know if Toby is still employed? Baer was shown the door long before it was released.
I heard that Toby fled the country and escaped across the border into Mexico. Then again, he may just be looking for another kicker. How long before it was announced in Foreman's case?
Do you have inside info?
Yeah! As dumb as well as OU! That Stoops guy Neinas recommended hasn't done sh*t!I doubt they're as dumb as MM/Bohn
There was no reason whatsoever not to fire toby the magnificent the day after the regular season ended IN 2012. Every day he is still employed here is an insult.
MikMac is Mr. Nice Guy. Sometimes that is a very good thing, we don't see any Bobby Petrino type scandals, for instance. However, it isn't always helpful when you are, in effect, a CEO. You have to be the a-hole sometimes to get the job done. Nobody I know enjoys firing someone. I have been fired, and I have fired others. I wonder if MikMac is too worried about firing someone to the detriment of the organization. I have no idea, but canning Foreman out of the blue, publicly, and hanging onto Neinas just reinforces the crony hire angle. Either than or MikMac wants a chip to play for his next job...all pure speculation, but it does seem to fit. There was no reason whatsoever not to fire toby the magnificent the day after the regular season ended. I'm pretty sure you misunderstood Slider's post. I believe he was suggesting that other schools would gladly use the service, but decline the booby prize.Yeah! As dumb as well as OU! That Stoops guy Neinas recommended hasn't done sh*t!
(Oh, sorry slider, I always forget you're a young puppy, still peeing down your leg then stepping in it!)

Sorry, I'll try to remember we should not speculate on anything FB related on this fan board, thanks for the reminder.Maybe strength coaches are always on one year deals while the actual football coaches are not. He is trying to help his coaches out so they can find another job but the ones who will be let go already know they will be let go. Maybe this is the reason Mac has a much better reputation in coaching circles than he does on this site, just a thought. I don't get the issue as we have been over it time and time again. People have no idea what he is doing so why speculate and say he is being "Mr. Nice Guy?"
Our football players wear numbers on their jerseys! FACT!Sorry, I'll try to remember we should not speculate on anything FB related on this fan board, thanks for the reminder.

I think there is just one poster that repeatedly states that MM is "Mr. Nice Guy". I don't know if that perception needs to be applied to the entire board.I just don't understand the issue. Some very insightful posters have said there will be changes made to the staff so obviously Mac is capable of making tough decisions but just because he is trying to help those coaches find another job means he is being too nice? He isn't going to keep them if they can't find one and it isn't delaying him looking for replacements so what is wrong? Your patience?
In addition, you would think that some of these people who are bitching about MM being too nice and not making the moves necessary with his coaching staff would be OVERJOYED if he didn't make any changes. That would be a pretty clear indication that MM is out after one more year (or immediately if RG doesn't agree with him not making any moves), which is clearly the agenda they are driving anyway. Lets not forget that MM isn't done doing his job for the year just because there are no more games being played, and RG is constantly monitoring his progress. There have been cases of head coaches being terminated in the offseason because they are unwilling to make what their AD believes are the necessary changes to their staff.I just don't understand the issue.
