Official 2018 Fall Camp Thread

You had a chance until you mentioned law school.

Lawyers, present or future, rarely get much sympathy from anyone unless it is other lawyers.

Had you said you were in grad school to study molecular biology with an intent to cure cancer or to prevent Alzheimer's somebody probably would have cared.

:sneaky:
Yep, screw future lawyers.

I can totally feel their pain about getting kicked out of their "house" for bull****.
My son's football team has to a play game on a Wednesday because of the regional tournament of THIS!:

Starting 22 not as clear as I thought, even a few weeks ago, and that’s not a bad thing. Competition in camp is pretty fierce and will make this team better, across the board.

By position group:
WR - great competition
TE - good competition
OL - pretty good competition, in spots
RB - great competition
QB - good competition, if only for backup
DL - good competition
ILB - great competition
OLB - good competition
CB - good competition
S - no competition

Lots of talent (prep, juco & transfer) pushing for jobs from the 2017 and 2018 groups. Coaches have upgraded things the past couple years and it's showing with the position group battles.

To follow up on my last post, Howell just wrote about much of the same. A lot of impressive talent but we haven't seen those guys do it much (or at all) on Saturdays yet. Reason to be excited, but it's still unproven.

Great to hear Montez. But man MJ’s long attempt at a quasi-homo joke was awkward as hell.
It's an old, tired joke. Montez didn't even seem to get it. Probably because he takes pretty much every snap from shotgun anyway so his hands are almost never pressing the taint like in the old days.

Talking about Tuesday being the first day of full pads. That's going to cause some depth chart movement. Such a big difference when the pads come on, particularly in the trenches.
