***OFFICIAL 2019 CU FOOTBALL FALL CAMP THREAD***

Last year Clemson knew they were graduating their top 5 guys, so they played 10 pretty heavily.

Clemson has the best DL talent and depth in the country. The exception, not the rule and certainly doesn’t have anything to do with CU’s DL situation.

Could be that Lang is fully meeting expectations, not exceeding them, whereas the other players are exceeding them. Who know what goes into HCMT comments until he has been here a while and we have a track record on how his mind works with regard to player mentions.
This.
MT could be trying to boost some of the other guys in the knowledge that he doesn’t need to do that with Lang. There could be any number of explanations as to why he hasn’t specifically mentioned Lang. Many of them have nothing to do with him not performing as expected. In day two of camp, I think it’s very premature to read much into his comments.

Hell, it’s all coach speak anyway. I wouldn’t read too much into it halfway into the season, much less day two of camp.

Tucker mentioned Montez, Viska and Landman. I think it’s safe to say he’s not just mentioning under the radar type guys

“They are going to have to block,” Tucker said of the receivers. “They probably won’t get targets unless they are willing to block. We’ll see a lot more once the pads come on but that is a huge point of emphasis for us.

“Everybody has a job to do on every play. You can gauge the toughness of your football team by how hard your receivers block and how physical your corners are in tackling.”

Article is mostly about KD and a great interview he gave today, but I got even more pumped up when I read the HCMT quote in the "Additional Notes" part at the end.

Makes a huge difference when receivers actually block. It can turn a 10 yard play into to the ****ing house. Of course, up front is more important. It is a big deal, though.

That's part of the point I'm making.

I'm not a purist. The line I ask not be crossed is that the uniform goes so far it's unrecognizable as CU.

I get that it's important. That's why I said that the kids need to like it.

Beyond that, I bow out. Partially because I'm not into fashion as a general thing. Mostly because I'm self aware enough to recognize that what looks cool to a 45 yr old suburban businessman has no relation to the marketing demographic the folks at Nike care about or the notion of what's cool to the teens & young adults who have an opportunity to play for CU.
I thought Nik was 35?...
