Really promising to hear (from DNVR and Uncle Neeley) that Bishop Thomas continues to make plays and stand out. The word on him was that he’d need a year (at least!) of getting his body right before we saw him on the field much. Credit to the work he’s put in and the S&C coaches.

Marvin Ham continuing to make plays too while Kennedy is in a non-contact jersey. Ham is listed at the same weight as last year but he looks WAY more fit to me and like he’s running better. Made a big 3rd and short run stop today in the Well Off vid that had everyone fired up.

Also, with respect to coach Brewster, I am a little more fired up hearing our OC confirm that he likes what Harrison brings:

FSU fans were sad to lose him.

TCU is breaking in a brand new secondary, right?
Not really. That is supposed to be their strength on defense. They lost 11 starters mostly on offense. Their rush defense was woeful last year and I think we can take advantage of that.
A lot of TCU fans seem to think their offense will be similar to last year but I don't see how you replace Duggan, Johnson, both running backs, both guards, and your center and expect the same production.
We replaced everyone so there is a little pot and kettle argument here but replacing garbage with legit transfers is better than replacing NFL draft picks with the guys who couldn't beat them out IMO.
They were one of the oldest teams in college football last year and won a lot of games that could have gone either way.
I think we win outright.

247 seems to think a lot of Morris. Saying that he is an upgrade from Duggan is pretty ridiculous, imo.

Coach Hart gives a great interview. I was surprised to hear him say that if the first game was tomorrow, Ham would be his starting Mike linebacker.

I assume that's because Kennedy hasn't been full go yet, but it bodes well that Ham has seemingly progressed well. If there is a legitimate two deep there, I feel really good about the defense.

I guess we'll see. As you know, Morris was the starter last year until he got injured early on....but in any event that 20 point betting line looks crazy if the Buffs are anywhere as good as they might be.

His last comment is why he and the other holdovers are still here "Ready to compete with whoever comes in."

The amount of turnover is partly due to a lot of guys who didn't belong at this level but also due to a bigger problem with a lot of guys who mentally were not ready to compete at this level.

In the end I think that numbers of turnover were higher than Coach Prime expected but they were also necessary.
