Ah, the Frost is going to return us to glory chorus.
These are the same people who told everyone that they were on their way to championships with Solich (what you wouldn't give to have a coach win 9 games now,) Callahan (who ended up with real estate signs in his yard a couple years later,) Pelini (who had this to say about the "greatest fans in college football"
Riley (who took all the 4* recruits with him when he left) and now Frost.
Is there any other fan base is college football who so badly needs, begs for, pleads for, and embarrasses themselves for outside approval as Nebraska? Nope, they are unique. Thankfully.

Who said anything about Frost returning to Glory? I just think its hilarious anyone believes Mel Tucker, who's never held or been offered a College Head Coaching position, is going to be more successful than Scott Frost - a man who could be coaching at Florida, Ole Miss, Tennessee, or Oregon right now if he wanted to be at any of those spots.
Tucker will be a DC in the South again within the next 5 years.
Also, not sure what the hell you meant about the 4-Star comment. None of the dudes who transferred to Oregon State were going to start for the Huskers, that's why they transferred to Corvallis. Nebraska has signed 20 four star players since Frost arrived.

Woah woah, let’s be clear on that. Florida kicked the tires on Frost and promptly told him to gtfo when he insisted on bringing his entire G5 staff with him. Not only was Nebraska desperate enough to agree to that, they gave every single assistant a substantial raise because the alternative was hiring Mike Leach.
I think Nebraska is finally taking advantage of having the lowest academic standards in a pretty prestigious academic conference. That is one positive thing for them going forward - becoming an ASU of the B1G. Outside of that, there is no reason to spend 3 years minimum in Lincoln when you can get to the NFL from practically anywhere. When Nebraska has recruiting classes ranked in the 20s, but struggles to win 4 games, you have to ask why those “4*s” are choosing Lincoln.
A) recruits like KJJ who picked Lincoln because he loved the twitter follows and the feel of being a celebrity. Is that a great football recruit? Someone whose mind is mostly on things outside football?
B) recruits who are risks - for whatever reason - and are dropped by big time schools.
That’s it. I mean, Derrion Grim arrived in January and left by March and told a 247 writer that the staff lied to him about stuff to do in Lincoln.
Until they prove they can win the division against peers who recruit “lower” in the rankings, then there’s no reason to believe Nebraska is actually recruiting at the level the sites claim they are.

Look at all these transfers! Recruiting is a two part process to me-you've gotta go get the talent, and then you've gotta make sure you keep that talent in Lincoln. Frosty went 4-8, and still hasn't won a football game as Nub cult leader outside of Lincoln since he's been there.
As far as the nonsense in what I've highlighted-Like TD said, Florida passed on him. Tennessee approached pretty much everybody in CFB about their job EXCEPT him. When did Ole Miss become a great job by the way? They've been in NCAA trouble pretty consistently for the last 2-3 years. Oregon was going to give their job to Cristobal, Leavitt or somebody who was up there already at the time Taggart left for FSU-they didn't sniff around Frosty at all.

I feel bad for this board. You're held in high esteem here, and that's the best you can do?
1. Scott Frost could've taken the job in Gainesville, if he wanted it. You can spin it anyway you want. Frost certainly remained loyal to his staff, but then again they had all been extremely successful. Florida would've given him 2 million to allocate to a different DC, but he wanted to keep his gang together. My original point was contrary to the notion of Tucker being more successful than Frost. No other D1 program has even offered Tucker a Head Job. CU basically got him by default.
2. I find it amusing you keep alluding to Mike Riley's tenure, and Mike Riley's recruits as if that has something to do with Scott Frost. A lot of the **** you pointed out is directly related to Mike Riley getting fired. LOL at referencing guys who left prior to the 2016 and 17 seasons.
3. Claiming Nebraska is taking risks is somewhat amusing. I would much rather Frost take a risk on a kid like Mo Washington than beating out MAAC schools for European Offensive tackles. I know Nebraska can remain competitive signing future NFL Defensive Tackles like Jakheem Green primarily because the SEC will Not allow Online College Algebra Transfer Credits. Watching him blow up opposing offensive lines will lessen my concerns about his inability to know if X truly does equal 7.
And lets talk more about risks:
Nebraska takes an Army All-American 4-Star OT Bryce Benhart over Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Tennesee, and Wisconsin. Colorado beats out Cal Poly for a OT Nikko Pohahau.
4-Star Army All-American DL Ty Robinson visits Nebraska on 11/16/18. He takes his final official visit to Alabama on 11/23/18 - He chooses Nebraska on signing day. CU out works Montana State and Sacramento State for DL Jayden Simon
CU goes to the JUCO ranks to outduel Austin Peay and Old Dominion for DE Jeremiah Doss. I'm sure he will make an instant impact on a D-line already short on depth.
Scott Frost's very first offensive recruit in his transitional Class is top 100 QB and Freshman All-American Adrian Martinez.
Coach Tucker's very first offensive recruit in his transition Class is RB Daniel Oats, ripped from the grasps of Toledo.

I'll let TD slap you again, but just to clarify, DJ Oats is a CB recruit. Tucker's "first offensive recruits" in his transition class were Jaren Mangham and LaVonte Shenault (younger brother of LaViska Shenault, who you should know well after what he did do the vaunted blackshirt defense last year).
So far in the 2020 class, he has pulled in 4* OT Jake Wray, who was committed to Ohio State and 4* QB Brendan Lewis, who had offers from a number of P5 programs, including Nebraska.

It took top 3 conference pay for him and his G5 staff and he still nearly balked because no one wants to have to recruit to Lincoln.

Bill Callahan was the greatest coach in Nebraska history-obviously. Still remember yelling "Keep Bill Callahan!" in the heart of the Fusker section after we hung 30 on them in the fourth quarter in 2007.
