Can we not chant "pedophile" during the game? It feels like reveling in someone else's pain (the victim, not Washington's). It's not a husker level of horrible fan, obviously, but it wouldn't be right either, in my opinion.

Quick Maurice Washington scorecard/rap sheet:

-This kid was expelled from HS (I don't know why, but his HS coach said it was behavior-related)
-He then struggles to make grades at his new school in CA (still managed to get into NU, shocking no one)
-He then possesses a video of his ex-girlfriend being raped and decides to send it to her after they broke up with the message "Remember this hoe".
-He eventually posts $30,000 bail after being arrested for these crimes (it would be purely speculative to assume that these funds came from a less than NCAA-sanctioned source, but you do the math)
-He gets busted for drug paraphernalia during the offseason
-He gets an attorney that just so happens to be a big Husker booster

-He is suspended for exactly one half of a football game against the mighty Jaguars of S Alabama.

But Scott Frost won't recruit guys with anything negative on their social media profiles because he's a high character guy. Right.......

They sold their soul to win games long ago. If holer fans could tolerate Lawrence Phillips and still with a straight face talk about how righteous they are then Maurice Washington barely registers.

If they're going to play him, he deserves to be called out. I'd say just boo him every time he touches the ball, but that might be too simple.

I can see a scenario where the victim would be happy that Maurice is being called out, awareness of his crime being raised, rather than him continuing to skate by.
