No. I can tell you all the dudes I grew up with think Frost is gonna come in this year, and they're going to compete for the Big Ten title this year. They think they're going to absolutely roll through the non conference schedule and only the likes of Michigan and tOSU can stop them, and they're going to smoke Wisconsin. I'm not exaggerating either.Callahan = Hawkins
Denial is the first step, then acceptance. Have Husker fans accepted the glory days are over?
Help me out here. CU was a 5 win team last year. Right?
And their fans are hoping for a bowl game this year. That means 6 wins. Maybe?
I see 6 wins for CU on the schedule after beginning 2-5. Maybe 7 after the rough start. Again time will tell.
As for Nebraska. I have no idea how the Huskers end up this year as nobody has a clue how the team will respond to Frost's new style of play. I do know the cupboard was not left barren for Frost and Staff. We'll know more after the first game.
i miss Hawkins.Let’s not forget that Colorado almost beat Alabama and Nick Saban with Dan Hawkins as coach. Waylon thinks the huskers will beat CU in their second game? Let’s just put Frost in the college football hall of fame right now
You telling me the 2018 huskers are better than 2007 Bama? And 2018 Buffs are worse than 2007 Buffs?

NU by 2 TDs.... Book it.
Coloring book? Do you think this is CUs turn around/break out year? You have a coach that is 41-59 (.41) career and is 25-38 (.39) at CU, this IS who he IS. A preseason rank of 54th to 105th..... Pardon me if that doesn't strike fear into Husker fans or team. Seriously, I see an ass whoppin for CU, it could turn into a trip to the woodshed for you if NU gets out to a quick lead.
Please, How do CU fans feel confident otherwise? Do you feel CU has superior talent? I don't live and die NUFB like in my youth but they will defiantly be coming back to relevance, closer to the hunt than they have been in 15 years for sure very soon.

2-5 start?
Most of our opponents do. He was a very generous man. Gary Pinkel probably sends him a ham every Christmas.i miss Hawkins.

I’ve never spent any time on Huskermax or any of the Cobgobbler forums because A) I don’t care and B) I try not to go out of my way to abide sycophantic morons. Are there Buff fans who subscribe to and religiously troll those forums? Is that a thing? Who has time for that?
On the 247 board, they had a topic about which opponent was the most likely upset and the 247 writer said not to include Michigan State or Wisconsin because those were too obvious of choices.ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha they are that ****ing stupid! That's a 4-5 win football team if everything goes well.

Northwestern is the most likely upset on that schedule.
Time for a true Nebraska story...
So my wife and I were on one of our cross country trips and happen to get hungry around Lincoln, NE. It was late and we were unsure if we would get another shot at dinner if we kept driving, so against our better judgement we stopped off in Lincoln for dinner.
We find a diner and head in. I walk up to the hostess, who looks like a sad and methy version of Melissa McCarthy, and I tell her table for two, please. Her response was, "Well, well, well...if it ain't Ken and Barbie alive in the flesh". My wife and I looked at each other in amusement and confusion and then looked down at ourselves to confirm we were not overdressed in some way. Nope, jeans and a t-shirt. It was at that point I decided to survey the diner and take a look at the other patrons. It was like a venn diagram of farmersonly.com clients and people awaiting gastric bypass surgery.
At that point it hit me. It wasn't that my wife and I stood out in the normal sense of things, it was that in Lincoln, Nebraska if you're in shape and have halfway decent hygiene habits, you're a f*cking supermodel. So we laughed about this while we ate obscenely bland slop in some greasy spoon and then got the hell out of Nebraska as fast as we could.
Troy is pretty good. They're not beating them either lol. Troy, Akron, and Illinois are the only sure wins on that schedule.
Troy is pretty good.
I think that’s a pick em.Troy is pretty good.
I’m just trying to figure out how we ended up with all of these Fusker morons on our site. Did he admins inadvertently include sister ****ing and goat porn in the SEO terms for the search engine bots?No-unlike @BuffSurveyor, we all have to work.

I'm not that concerned with Martinez running the read.Tell you one thing. Drew Lewis and Davion Taylor better be ready for the Nubs' speed off the edge from the backfield, QB or RB, come gameday.
Buffs were a few plays away from eight wins last season. Two dropped TD passes at UCLA, Tate ran wild over the Buffs in a three point win for Arizona over the Buffs. Buffs blew a 10 point lead at the start of the 4Q at Arizona State. Viewing them solely as a five win team last season isn't really doing their homework on the Buffs.
The Buffs players didn't play with any urgency last season like in 2016 and the returns from camp so far indicate that CU's players & coaches have that urgency. I am happy for Nebraska getting Frost and I will be checking out some Husker games this season but you are moving from Riley's system to Frost's system. Even Oregon State had issues with transitioning from Riley to Gary Andersen before Andersen quit on the team last year and Andersen's offensive scheme was a strong running game out of the spread formation. Only difference IMO between Andersen & Frost is that Frost will probably use the option more often. And Oregon State couldn't decide on a QB either...it wouldn't be a shock if Nebraska spends at least this season trying to figure out who the QB will be. I wouldn't be shocked if Husker fans are really overlooking that potential transition issue.
That will explain why most CU fans expect a win in Lincoln this year. The rest of the country is writing the Buffs off because 2016 appears to have been a flash in the pan type of season. They didn't bother to realize that CU could have had winning seasons in 2015 and last year and is not the same hapless team from 2011 to 2014 that got blown out many times. Phil Steele even said to not count CU out of the running for the Pac-12 South title this season as well.
If Husker fans are still underestimating the Buffs when they play, be ready for a very rude awakening September 8th.
