Official Buffs vs. ****braska Game Thread

OK Allbuffs, this 2 game series is over, we won both games, so......

Can we officially vote to shut and lock this thread up, and like Bill Belichick says “Onto the next game!”

Goodbye ****braska till 2023, lets focus on AFA and winning the PAC 12!!!

I OFFICIALLY VOTE TO CLOSE AND PLACE THIS THREAD IN THE HOF

Who votes in the affirmative?

Nay. **** Nebraska.

BOULDER, Colo. — Maurice Washington left the field Saturday, helmet off, in tears.

Moments after Isaac Armstrong’s 48-yard field goal attempt missed wide right, just before he got to the locker room, Washington punched the air and screamed over the Colorado fans dancing on the field behind him.

“That’s (expletive) bull----!”

This warms my heart. Go **** yourself you POS.

I just re-watched the game. My biggest takeaways:
  • Coach Tucker was right. We took their best shot in the first half. We moved the ball in the 1st half. We had the PR special teams error. Lots of things went wrong that weren't about the best athleticism or typical execution outside of penalties, which were an issue in the 1st half.
  • The tide then turned in the 2nd half, where these things went our way, along with a few schematic changes.
  • The difference in 1H Montez vs. 2H Montez is really hard to comprehend. If we get 2H Montez for the rest of the year, the ceiling really is at 10 wins.

Agreed. And this game HAD to have built a lot of credibility with the team. "Coach said this would happen and that's exactly what happened". Also love the fact that a bunch of people on the husker forums even admitted to themselves that Tucker completely outcoached Frost and made great adjustments that Frost couldn't handle. Even through their delusion, they can see that Tucker just completely schooled Frost

It would have been awesome if he'd attacked one of our students. I'd totally sacrifice one of our own to see that and float in a sea of my own smugness at the fallout.

Frost is just a complete idiot. On that Shenault fumble, I was like "what the hell is he doing on the field? what's wrong with him?". I've never seen a coach walk out into the middle of the pile like he was one of the players before
I've been doing a bit of lurking on the husker message boards today, and they completely agree with you. That was a huge blunder by Frost which led to more favorable field position for the Buffs on the drive which sent the game to overtime.

What killed them more than that was that weird sequence of plays he called in OT. If I have issues with my STs, I'm not going run-run-pass lol and sending my punter out to try a FG with the game on the line. Frosty made Mario Cristobal look like a genius.

Reading their boards it’s weird, they all think HCMT is a horrible choice of coach who is a total unknown.

DO THEY EVEN WATCH FOOTBALL???

His resume is one of the most polished in the country. Amazing pickup.

He'll know what bull**** is when he becomes a Wide Receiver in the Klink

What? They’re questioning our coach? Are they just ignoring their own very real issues?

In all honesty, with as much objectivity as I can muster in the situation, I cannot understand how Scott Frost built that program at UCF, or even coached them to 13 wins. Is the pressure of coaching at Nebraska eating his brain or something? I mean, and again I think I'm somewhat objective here, he's a dip**** game day coach and a total crybaby asshole at all times.

must see: Pac 12 Network 'Pac 12 Final Score' this morning. Great interview with MT and KN after game, nice locker room video. You can start program at beggining and scroll forward to Buffs.

Been said several times since he was hired, but UCF is the better job.

Yep. 2nd tier Florida talent is still very good talent. He moved to a **** hole in the middle of the country and he’s trying to convince a bunch of kids they should come hang out in the corn fields for a team that hasn’t won anything in 20 years.

I agree with that, I think I might have said that at the time.

But I didn't watch UCF when he was the coach there. Did he just have enough talent to overcome being a terrible game day coach, or was did he do a decent job there and is just wilting in the pressure of Nub land?

Pretty much did the same thing as MacIntyre at SJSU, he landed a transfer QB that tore up mediocre competition for one season. Right place at the right time.

The game day coaching on defense was rarely an issue outside of 1-2 games because UCF was that good on offense. Those talent issues are much more pronounced in the Big 10. The margin for error is smaller, the record in one score games is telling.

It's like the average size kid that was held back two years because he kept failing kindergarten. His last year in middle school he was *the *****.

Then he got to high school.

Also, Frost is a great offensive mind, but at some point you have to wonder if he turtles mentally in close games. Didn't trust his star QB to win him the game.

Sooooo..... when is the replay? Will the Pac-12 networks run the 60 minute version of the game or not since it was a Fox broadcast?

Their offense reminded me a lot of 2018 CU. So much boom or bust, very little efficiency. Not much play between the hash marks. When it works, it really works. But once it stalls, oh boy.
