Wonder what the next home game is going to look like on 9/24 against UCLA when the Buffs are 0-3 and almost mathematically eliminated from bowl contention (when you consider the November schedule)?

They don't want their coach to play favorites and start the second string QB. They quit on Dorrell.Yesterday, he was saying how they'd gone through the fire and weeded out the guys who weren't committed. We were a solid group.
The alliegence players have to their teammates and schools is weak. Kids don't want to build something over time, with their brothers. Half these guys were thinking about their postgame dates.
The chance to correct that is had by playing Shrout from here on out. The vibe in the WHOLE stadium was defeat when KD kept sending Lewis out. If the fans know there’s no chance at coming back, then the kids definitely know it, they’re not stupid.
Sorry, I don't enjoy being negative at all. Name me something real to be optimistic about. Why are we going to compete or even get better? Not with thinking like yours.

Did you not hear the new sound system? <pumping sunshine>Sorry, I don't enjoy being negative at all. Name me something real to be optimistic about. Why are we going to compete or even get better?
I just predicted in the Fire KD thread this very scenario. I say 25k or lessWonder what the next home game is going to look like on 9/24 against UCLA when the Buffs are 0-3 and almost mathematically eliminated from bowl contention (when you consider the November schedule)?
The biggest take-away I had from last night - other than the ridiculous QB situation - is that CU is just SLOW. This has been an issue for a few years, but it really stood out to me last night.
in the 47,000 sAnybody hear the attendance figure?
Calhoun didn't want ANY part of CU and hasn't for years.Air Force 49-14. Gotta think Calhoun will want to embarrass the AD who passed on him 2 years ago to hire Karl Dorrell.
team chemistry is tough to build in this circumstance--- stars, playmakers, leaders, all left the building en masse. there just aren't a bunch of guys on the roster who appear to be capable and ready to carry the team when things go poorly. So 2 team captains basically said much of the team had given up at 17-6…at home…in the first game of the season. You can coach through execution mistakes but how do you recover a team that quits at the very first sign of difficulty? (That’s a rhetorical question).
You can't when he's lost them already. So 2 team captains basically said much of the team had given up at 17-6…at home…in the first game of the season. Starting the best QB might help. This is why they gave up. This scenario is the same as Dorell hiring and not firing Rodrigue. He is clueless and players know it.You can't when he's lost them already.
lack of a motivational coach-So 2 team captains basically said much of the team had given up at 17-6…at home…in the first game of the season. You can coach through execution mistakes but how do you recover a team that quits at the very first sign of difficulty? (That’s a rhetorical question).
0So what says everyone on the win total this year now?
The bolded. Assuming that things (and recruiting) aren't going to get much better, the correct scheduling for CU would be to include one FCS team (not NDSU) and one G5 team (not Air Force) per year. Think Western Illinois and Bowling Green. Or Eastern Washington and Texas State. Karl's thought processes can be analyzed to death here, and youth is an issue too, but the main thing that isn't changing any time soon is that this roster is about 50% mid G5 level at best.Really disappointing last night. Early in the game when Lewis threw the interception that was negated by penalty, I said to myself this guy is not the guy. He basically just threw it up. I think the coaches like his dual threat capability but in reality he is not much of a threat in the passing game.
I think the team did kind of give up as the reality set in - togetherness is nice but it cannot always overcome lack of talent.
Even wilner gets it.
AgreedAccurate. We no longer belong in power 5. Hurts me to say that.
when you’ve lost Brian Howell… LOL
They do look very slow…..The biggest take-away I had from last night - other than the ridiculous QB situation - is that CU is just SLOW. This has been an issue for a few years, but it really stood out to me last night.
