Official Buffs vs. USC Score Prediction Thread

I actually think SC is going to come out fired up. CU is going to have to weather the storm and make some plays just to quiet the crowd a little and put some doubt in them that it’s going to be more of the same as UT and Stanford.

Will there be a crowd?

There is always a big crowd at the Coliseum. They'll be drunk because they finally have time to properly tailgate for a rare night game. Noise is not a huge factor there because the stadium is so huge and spread out that some seats are in a different zip code from midfield. That being said, the Trojans are favored by all professional gamblers. I'm not betting, but if I did, I would take the Buffs and as many points as anyone would give me. This really might be a signature win for the program.

The line has stayed firm at usc -7. It was briefly usc -7.5. That line was only up for a short while, got hammered, and went back to -7. I’ll be curious how the line develops saturday as people bet the late games.

Good question. No idea what their attendance typically is, but you’d think their fans would want to see a top 20 team in person if they had the chance to do so this year

I’d be surprised if most of their fans know who they’re playing this week. Not many of the people I’ve talked to on campus do.

They had the smallest crowd at the Coliseum in like 15 years against Wazzu (52K). CU is ranked but still not a huge name. It should be somewhere around 60-65K announced.

That Wazzu game was on a Friday night which kept attendance down. But 65k sounds about right.

I tend to think USC fans/students are more "casual fans" that don't necessarily follow the ups and down of college football, probably because THEIR team is always/usually so good as to not be concerned with the opposition. So I don't think it's really crossed anyone's mind that Colorado is actually good...they are just more concerned that THEIR team is not. Therefore, with it being such a late game I could see a pretty sparse crowd. I could be way wrong.

their coach has never lost a home game - in 5 years. tough atmosphere, but having played in lincoln this year should help our guys a lot

Hard fought game beginning to end - our speed and athleticism vs all that 5* talent.
We will finally break their will in the final qtr. With a long TD pass to TBrown.

MIGHTY BUFFS - 31

boys of troy - 24

CU gets out to a 21 point lead in the first 5 minutes of the game off of two USC turnovers and never looks back. CU 42 USC 24

Buffs 28
USC 27

It took all week to talk myself into predicting a win. The biggest thing for me is that our OL just had their best game by far all season, against arguably the most talented front they've faced all season. Also, USC appears to make a ton of mistakes, plus they're playing for a lame duck coach. I think we get out to an early lead, give it back early 2nd half, and gut out a win somehow.
