Official Buffs vs. Wazzu Game Thread

This game was a microcosm of the past four years. Sefo - beat up - criticized - said to not have talent - nonetheless puts the team on his back and wills this into a gold brick game that will be forever remembered. Sefo is a talent. Sefo is an unbelievable leader who owns his mistakes as well as the mistakes of the others whom he leads. But above all, his HEART is without compare in the history of CU football. I search my memory and I can think of no one like him and this is no hyperbole.

Credit also goes to Lindsay, Irwin and many folks all over the team...but this was just outstanding Sefo Liufau gritty football.

Up to the Michigan game I was one of the biggest critics of Sefo. He really won me over this year. Montez is the future but he is listening and learning from maybe the toughest Buff in my lifetime.

Listening to KOA post-game, these guys totally believe they will be P 12 Champs - no doubts.

Thank you players and staff. I moved into Jones Hall in 1966 and had my 1st season tickets that year. By the year Tad was hired, I was wondering whether I'd ever be able to root for Top 20 teams again.

Thanks Tad and thanks CU Football

Yeah I'm not pissed or anything, I just think as a top 10 team, we should not be rushing the field after beating the 22nd ranked team in the country.
Enjoy this. Your team has been miserable for a decade and now you're ranked #10 and just beat a ranked team. There's no need to "act like you've been there before", because you haven't. If in 2019 you guys have been ranked in the Top 25 the entire time and keeps trying to tear down the goal posts, sure, you can scoff. But this is a great time for your program, and there's cause to celebrate.

Personally, I love the field-charging. Fortunately for me, Clemson has a tradition of charging the field after every single game, win or lose...obviously in a loss, not many people are running on, but The Gathering at the Paw has created some awesome moments and memorable images of wins, even when we've been the higher ranked team.

I can be as excited as anyone and still point to a few things that I don't like.

Agree. It was a good overall game, but gee, there's a lot that can be improved on. Defense ended up doing Ok, but I'm definitely not calling it a genius defensive strategy. Worse CU defenses made Leech teams look much worse.

OK, what do they say, if you look at the Mona Lisa closely there are flaws.

Holy **** .... you're actually older than I am! I didn't think any regular poster here was.

Way to hang in there, Oldtimer! (y)

I have a 14 year old daughter and within the last year I won 3 criminal jury trials in 8 days. I told her all the district attorneys in those cases were in their 30s, and not to buy into the notion that being younger necessarily made you smarter or tougher. A lot of the time it is will and drive that prevails. I hope you are with me on that.

Go Buffs!

Wow! What a great game to attend! What a wave of emotions during the game! I'm not sure if it came across on TV, but when Sefo went down, the crowd chanted "Sefo....Sefo....Sefo....Sefo...." The young man will go down as one of the most loved and respected players in Buff lore. And all because of the heart and toughness he's shown since he's been here through all the down times only to rise from the ashes to lead CU to one of the greatest seasons in CU history. Did you get that? ONE OF THE GREATEST SEASONS IN CU HISTORY! Let that sink in.

Amen, my friend
