AY AY AY VIVA EL DIABLO TASMANION!

That looks really close...unfortunately I think this is going to stand because the letter of the law describes any contact to the head. But he's clearly leading with his shoulder, he's not trying to go up high.

This is what I absolutely hate about the targeting rule...it's nonsensical and removes good football plays from the game through a half-assed, poorly written rule.

that sucks. D can't get discouraged....WSU will have some success...and convert some wacky 3rd and longs...that's just Leach.

That's an easy call. It's not 2010, let it go. You just can't light guys up, even if it's trying to break up a TD.

Sorry, but that's bull****. The kid's trying to make a play. There was nothing wrong with that hit.

****. While that was clearly helmet to helmet contact he led with his shoulder and the helmet to helmet contact was almost incidental. Tough call but by definition of the rule it's tough to argue.

Something needs to change with the targeting rule. Players are getting kicked out left and right at these games for very ambiguous plays. Mikey's P agrees.

It's a new ballgame, you have to be thoughtful about how you're smacking other guys in the head. Head injuries are no joke, ask anyone who's had a couple of concussions. I understand that Laguda is trying to make a play, and not trying to hurt another guy, but he's putting himself and the other player at risk when he uses his body in a way that causes helmet to helmet contact.

Clothesline tackles and punching guys in the helmet used to be "good football" plays too.
