Can someone tell the students that we don’t rush the field after every win…especially against CSU. Not rushing the field says more in this case, than rushing does. They don’t deserve that amount of respect. The Huskers don’t either for that matter.

Just replied to someone else. A different team a year or so ago actually crunched the stats and found there was definite upside if you're semi-confident you can score. It puts pressure on the other team. And this entire game, we were the team playing behind a d feeling the pressure. Then we flipped that into CSU.

Here's the weird one to me-why do you kick on fourth and goal from the 2 or whatever down 21-14 but take the ball right off the bat in OT?

That's what I thought was weird.

Oh, well-take the W knowing full well you gotta correct a ton while upping your game if you want 4 in a row. Oregon's good.

This game had no ****ing business being this close on pure talent alone, we did something wrong, and we need to fix it or next week will be a train wreck.

CSUs roster is always packed with local kids who get up for this game, every CSU HC gets a good run out of their kids for this game.

I was at the game with my daughter. She has a newborn who wakes up every 3 hours to nurse. So we had to leave early to beat the crowd.

The OT decisions need to be asked of Prime. I don’t care that it all worked out, you never choose to take the ball first. There’s literally no upside

I agree with you that the huge advantage is to go defense first.

I can see taking the ball first in some very limited situations. One is if you believe you have their defense confused and you don't want to give them time to get things back together, this also ties into the momentum part.

Second is if you are completely confident in scoring the TD and believe that putting the pressure on them to score is going to give you an advantage.

That all said it would be very hard for me not to want my defense out their first.

The coin toss decision is still perplexing. We chose offense and to go into the quiet end.

We chose the ball. CSU chose that end.

Would I have liked to stomp CSU by 70? Of course. But there is little better then seeing little brother get their hearts ripped out.

Others need to relax. Sometimes very good teams have games that go down to the wire that shouldn't.... but good teams pull it out.

This team was predicted to win 3.5 games this season. Well, they are at 3 already and have had no cupcakes.

The team needs a few more dudes, but enjoy the wins and don't fret about style points.
