Official Colorado State Game Thread

You’d have thought that this game would’ve hurt CU and helped CSU in the national perception.

But I just watched what the Around the Horn and PTI guys thought, and saw remarks like “Colorado State played hard but they cheap shotted through the entire game.” Conversely, they praised Colorado’s and Shedeur’s resolve and comeback win.

CSU’s and Norvell’s reputation has been stained. It could or may not hurt CSU’s recruiting. Who knows?

csu recruits low 3-star/2-star/no-star players who prayed to get an offer from Colorado but got a big old NO from above.

These dudes aren’t worried about reputation.

True, and/or define reputation differently. Doesn’t matter. Lesson learned that will pay off for years to come.

Saturday was a GREAT showcase for this team. Just win.

To piggyback on this one, no one congratulating me or wanting to talk about the game is deep diving into the style points. They are just genuinely excited about CU football.
Same. Even most of the media was.fine w the close game because it was such a great atmosphere. The only ones I know who want to pick it apart are the DNVR non-CU hosts and some other local dudes. Everyone else just seems to be enjoying the whole spectacle

One last thing. Norvell is trying to turn the narrative and gain sympathy with his accusations that Blackburn and his parents have received death threats.

Of course, if true, anyone doing that should be arrested. But News 4 ran the story as if it were fact then showed tweets like, “Look out! Allah will get you,” or , “Someday you’re going to get yours” They did not cite a single death threat.

I definitely had a couple coworkers say CU won because CSU played sloppy

“I’m getting death threats” is part of the modern “dont hate me as much even though I did something awful” media response playbook. It’s awful and should stop IF true. But I believe it less every time I hear it.

I don’t think so

What you don’t see in the tv coverage, but I watched live at the game, is the corner was riding Hunter like a mule all the way down the sideline. That’s why the ball looks over thrown. Without the PI that could easily have scored. Hunter is already out of the play well before the safety gets there though and probably didn’t see him coming.
I think that was the point of the comment. Hunter was tied up, wasn’t going to make the play, and couldn’t defend himself.

I see video of the cheapshot, I have seen jack, other than a bare allegation, of a death threat. Until I do, it's BS and just a deflection from the fact #11 is a dirty player.
