Salter really cannot throw past the sticks lol. Great analysis from the color commentator. Not a single competitive ball today beyond 10 yards so far against a far inferior opponent
 
That throw to Atkins just really wasn’t there.

Clearly never intended on making any other read.

We haven’t be able to throw downfield, and Salter has shown no ability to do so yet.

Salter is not accurate when he can't be comfortable in the pocket.

Also though they aren't helping him, they are asking him to make some throws that require above average accuracy. The kind of throws that Shedeur could make in his sleep but most college QBs, including Salter, can't. Timing and tight windows throws are not what Salter can do well.

If he would have anticipated it, the play was there but he waited for Atkins to make his cut take three steps and then over throw. No hope if a fifth year guy can't make that read and throw. He over threw D. Miller two plays earlier. Next.
