How do you compare QB's when 2 QB's were not allowed to throw downfield. The other QB only throws downfield.

After a lot of praise for Staub, Mark Johnson started to ask CP a question about RS, beginning with the idea Staub is a '2nd string' player. CP interrupted, 'he's not a 2nd string player, he's a gamer, he needs to play, whether it's here at Colorado, or somewhere else' (not an exact quote, but close). A sad reality. After last night, Staub can put his name in the portal and get several assurances of a decent starting job. I hope he's got a really nice girlfriend in Boulder.

Juju had a couple of potentials and threw the ball shorter. Salter missed his downfield throws and had at least a couple that he should have run rather than throw.

Salter is one thing but I find it hard to believe that Lewis couldn't make the throw Staub just did. Either way the conservative playbook for Salter/Lewis seems like it's terrible and should be scrapped.

Guys have to make reads. I think Shurmur sucks but he didn't magically change the playcalling to aggressive for our 3rd string QB.
My take? It's simple. I think Juju and Salter are probably playing a little scared to make mistakes. Staub is like "I'm 3rd string and getting Boulder tail and getting my college paid for. Let's gun this mofo." Air this **** out boys. It's college, you're going to throw a few picks. Who gives a ****? Salter aired it out at Liberty and whether by his choice or Shurmur's he's been playing passive. I think he's still our best option if he plays freely.
