LIVE! Official CU vs Houston game thread - 9/12/25

For sure, I’m just at a loss and how Prime has almost been flippant about the importance of the OL coach. Year one he allows Lewis to bring BoB which was understandable, but then he went and got Loadholt who had never been a full time OL coach. In year three he just elevates Gunnar White, who had no experience, and just tabbed George Hegamin and Andre Gurode, neither of which had coached at this level, as assistants and started calling them the three headed monster???
Especially true because coaching OL in college is very different than coaching or playing in the pros. It is still very much developmental, teaching technique and teaching coordination, things that players in the pros are expected to have.

@FlaBuff could do a better job of explaining but this isn't a spot were being a solid pro translates.

Best play of the second half was Staub's pick. I have a feeling Shurmur dialed up an on purpose interception to make sure that Houston had a short field and couldn't use up like 9 minutes of clock again. Genius move.

Our OL is as good or better than Houston and the best one we have had in 10 years

Staub is lost right now
Staub is swimming but that isn't his fault. Shurmur didn't give him a running game, didn't give him a passing scheme that fits his skills.

When Staub was just able to play football CU scored, running the Squirmer's mess ask him to do things he isn't likely to succeed in (or any of our other QBs.)

Shureturd has hit his avg., 20pts.

Bend don’t break D does not work with 💩. I think Livingston notices it too late because NFL guys have a lot of trust in equals ability. His adjustments are too late, because he hasn’t accounted the shurturd.

Well thanks, time for Juju.

I heard a lot of talk about becoming a running team.

The backs got 12 carries for 60 yards.

Establishing the run requires committing to the run.
When every run goes for -1.5 yds, you quickly abandon it.

When your o-line coach has no experience, your OC is a ****ing moron, and your HC is too fuxking stupid to do anything about it, you get your dick kicked in
