LIVE! Official CU vs Houston game thread - 9/12/25

Watching how much our RBs improved with Faulk, I am convinced we move Helow to coach LBs and move Hart to somewhere else. Helow had the LBs looking good last year. At least the capable ones
I thought that what CP would do after last season. His friendship blinders with Hart is a head scratcher. CP wants to win and clearly cannot see past his friendship

I think this is Prime’s first time having to deal with adversity as a head coach. It’ll be interesting to see how he navigates through this.

I watched his spring season at Jackson. That was the first time. This is different. He has the talent. He just doesn't have all the pieces. This is where you gotta figure it out. It's a lot easier when you got guys who can handle a lot and carry which he had last year. This year, he gotta really figure it out. I felt he overachieved that spring year. Right now, they are clearly floundering. I don't think I've ever been so wrong on a game since Miami lost to Ohio State in the natty and St. Louis and Kurt Warner lost to the New England Patriots in the SB

Weren’t you a Hart defender telling us how good he was at JSU? I think you had a blind spot on that one…

Unless our kryptonite this year is ball control offenses, and the first 3 opponents are the worst possible matchup for that, I'm feeling ready to kiss my over 6.5 wins bets goodbye.

This QB situation is such a mess now. This coaching staff is going to earn its money by keeping this locker room together, or it's going to fall on its face.
I have the over at 5.5 wins and I’ve already kissed it goodbye….

He was at JSU. So was Coach Mo Sims. The transition to FCS (HBCU) can be too big for some as we also saw with Coach Flea. Ya'll didn't see the jump LBs made from year 1 spring to year 2. It was the biggest jumps. Even last year, he struggled, we saw NHG make a huge jump. I thought he was the best we had from JSU from a production level. Coach Brett was obviously the most talented.

It seems like we are bickering as fans on the QB. I seen Tcal supporters talking about, you did Salt wrong. I just don't see Salt scoring more than 21 points so what was he going to do against Houston if they score 30+. If our defense is this bad, it doesn't matter if Shedeur is the QB, how do you win being this bad?

I heard so many people argue during Prime's first year that the players and coaches at FCS and especially at HBCUs were just as good but simply didn't have the resources. I get that we all have blind spots, particularly when we're close to something or we're fans. But it was a bad take then and I would assume people who had that opinion have had their eyes opened.

salt has bad processing and mechanics. if you turned it into a run first offense with a few big plays on "play action" it might work.

but that's not part of the prime longterm plan. no reason to play salt or staub. play juju, get that high draft pick and regroup for next year

Goddammit Zandi! Stick to investigating helicopter crashes
**** off, I'll critique anything i want.

This team is a dumpster fire, and its not really hard to find the source of a lot of the faults.

And Prime is at the top of the list, at least until he decides he wants to be a coach more than he wants to be a friend

CP's low buyout number in the contract might be a bless in disguise in a couple of years

That's what they want, for us to turn our offense into Liberty offense but if the most we are scoring is 21 to 24ppg, how is that beating anyone if we are giving up 400ypg every game

I was joking. I don't have much of an argument right now. Sheesh

CP need to find some coaches

Pat looks bad man. Delaware was rough too. I actually felt he did well against Tech
Pat Shurmur has never called a good game once in my life with the Buffs or the Broncos. They are so conservative, uncreative, poorly timed, not built for the opponent, and even counter-intuitive.

The best game the Buffs ever had was TCU in Prime's first game and it was Sean Lewis calling the plays. Shurmur was ass last year and double ass this year

I saw some of Prime's comments on ESPN. He said their preparation for the game was really good. What the **** are you talking about? Only credit I give is he did put the loss on himself.
