Official CU vs TCU Game Thread - 10/4 @ 5:30 MT on FOX

The shine of CP is fading so quickly, he's going through it-this has got to be tough. Needs to see that he HAS to make changes, none of this is working. Play aggressive, change the QB, change the play caller on offense, change defensive scheme and let Andre fade into analyst purgatory.

I don’t know what you Prime haters want. Without Prime we may have been left in the PAC-12 dust. CU doesn’t have enough financial support to be an Oregon, an Alabama, a Texas. You fire Prime, and with it goes Juju and the WR talent, and the Texas pipeline, and the IMG pipeline, and all the talent we do have, and all of a sudden this is a 63-10 blowout.

I think we get WVU and UofA
Hmm, I’m not so sure. WV is on the road and by that time we’ll have likely lost 5 in a row. I wonder how much fight we’ll have at that point. KSU at home is the only one I feel even mildly optimistic about. These coaches are trash.

Doesn’t matter how much talent we have if he can’t surround himself with better coaches. He needs to make some changes. It’s not working.

4 wins, 9 wins, back to 2-4 wins. Oh know, what will we do? 😱

Certainly not a Prime hater, but it is time for some changes. Everyone can see that Salter and Shurmur ain't it. The season is shot. We have to see what Juju can do.

I don't think anyone is saying fire CP, or we hate him. I think we're saying resign shurturd and hart to analyst. Make a change at QB.

There is a difference between rebuilding and incompetence. We are more the latter.
Let’s hope so as this is a heavily Sr team on the lines and the two best DBs will possibly be gone as well… even though McKinney has definitely played himself to the bottom of draft boards. I guess the way to look at it is the QB play, DB play, and LB play hopefully can’t get any worse next year.

Seemed to me, this was a game of very, very fundamental mistakes in all three phases. Secondary gets beaten consistently, never finds the ball in the air. Basic tackling continues to be a problem. Our veteran QB only looks at his primary target, then underthrows it. Our OC is not calling plays that play to our advantages. Even the punter had a bad night, so did the punt returner - a Freshman who hasn't been told how to get his blockers to clear out.

This is at least the 3rd winnable game that we've lost due to mistakes, lack of playing a solid 4 quarters. That is coaching.

Prime was a critical lifeline out of irrelevance to boost revenue, brand equity, viewership, and revive institutional support

He’s not the man for the next phase. Y’all will continue to fight about this for a while. It is what it is
Prime leaves and the Brand immediately goes back to the hot garbage it was when we couldn’t beat Mountain West teams consistently. I’d rather lose 35-21 to TCU than 49-14. How quickly people forget how awful it was.

We were one of the few P4 teams that could roll the dice. It was successful in some me ways but not necessarily on the field.

I hope that rub it in our face TD by TCU will put a chip on our shoulder. I know it takes more than that to win, but we should be embarrassed and pissed off.

I get the Shurmur hate I guess. But he did not call a bad game tonight.
He did call a bad game. Single handedly killed at least two drives with 2nd down bubble screens. For a former OL coach he really hates running. Welch, Hayden and Miller and the line were cooking, and Shurmur ignored that. Salter is to blame for 3INTs but Shurmur put Salter in that position.

I'm gonna guess that we've been scripting the hell out of the first two drives but then we get past that. And that means that Shurmur has to find a play calling rhythm and Salter has to execute plays he has to think too much about.

sorry I haven't read through the whole game thread. has there been any mention of why coach prime was shoeless for a portion of the game?

I will say this, when TCU sold out to stop the run he continued to try running into a stacked line. When TCU did that, there had to have been room to throw.
