Wow... that was some bad coaching / play calling at the end.

Allow Alabama's shortest player to drive straight to the hoop with no backside help, then take a TERRIBLE shot at the conclusion of the game after dribbling around at mid-court for 3 or 4 seconds.

Pretty disappointing end there.

But - after the way the game was going in the 2nd half, it was nice to see the team come back and have the chance to win with the last second shot.
 
that last play was awfully executed/drawn up... he also could have taken another second to drive the lane and try to get to the line?

Left so much to be desired.
 
I'm not too sure that was how it was drawn up. Looked a little freelanced to me. Oh well. Good season Buffs!
 
I think the last shot was, "OK, everyone, clear out and let Alec take the last shot" instead of, "Get the ball in, look for the open man inside. Try to work it in for the easy shot. If it isn't there, find an open guy." Or something. Why the hell didn't they run the "picket fence?"
 
Well, obviously, Alec needs to come back for one more year to redeem himself, doesn't he?
 
So Burks fails to get that rebound, then wastes precious time walking the ball up the court, then misses the shot. Nice.
 
Ugh, frustrating ending. First the bad from me... I only saw the 2nd half, my take: Relephorde was terrible. He didn't come to play. That last defensive possesion was frustrating, where was the help side at. If I saw correctly, it looked like Burks was the one who wasn't there (not certain), and things like that is why he needs to come back. The last offensive play was so frustrating, but thats what the college game has come down to, a screen and a jumper. You see it all the time.

The Good: Burks and Higgins played very well overall. Dissapointing way to end, but it was a great season, and a tremendous career for Corey. A great Buff. I hope Alec comes back, I understand if he doesn't, but I hope he does. This program is moving in the right direction, I'm really proud of the team as a whole for the year they put together.
