I'm going to go against the grain a little bit RE: the defense.

Bobo is actually a good offensive play caller, and they obviously surprised us a little bit with #22. Plus, Hill is the first CSU QB in a long time to actually throw an accurate pass.

Which isn't to say we haven't looked disappointing tonight, but maybe not necessarily DOOOOOOOOM worthy.

As a SEC fan.... if I hear “brings a SEC mentality to the PAC12” one more time, I’m throwing my tv out of the window. Seriously, is there a conference out there that doesn’t want to play good defense?

You musn’t spend much time watching the Big 12 or the Pac 12 conferences’ games then. Defense is limited in each.

I’ve watched it but I don’t think any HC out there is actively against it. Of course, MT seems to be selling it pretty hard. Hopefully it pays off.

Going to get roasted for this observation, but you can tell the coaching is vastly improved this year. Our players just aren’t up to speed, but you can see some foundational steps forward. Minimal mental errors and stupid plays. Future is bright, but there will be some bumps until the fellas catch up to the coaches.
Honestly, I think. state played way above their expectations. Still, this defense needs to bend, not break.

I think the emphasis from those leagues is offense first. These announcers are insufferable. However, they are right that he’s going against the grain a bit.
