Official #Roadbuffs Thread

Just got home...midnight train leaving Lincoln was not bad at all, especially after seeing my first road win ever and being drunk and tired. **** nebraska.

In all seriousness, I thought Lincoln would be a negative 500, but it exceeded expectations and is a solid, positive 2 on the scale of 1 to 10.

On the road back to Chicago before flying back to Va. Beach tomorrow. Great game day experience. Every Husker fan we ran into was super nice and gracious in the loss. Very knowledgeable fans and not one brought up the PF on JMac like their coach did.
In fact had several fans tell our crowd (which included a 6'6" dude and me at 6'3" and a couple bills) say if any of their fans gave us s-hit to come find them and they would "correct the situation."
All in all, a great time and hope to maybe come back in '22.

Hopefully Sean did wear his gear.

I was there section 104, head to toe Buffs gear...well black/gray Nikes are the closest Buff shoes. I called bull**** to the bleacher officials a few times - intentional grounding being tossed around any time Montez threw the ball away, and JayMac getting blasted before the ball got to him was a BS call...surrounded by significant others that were clueless about football and Huskers. I overheard a mention that the second string walk-on QB was “really good”, and someone mispronounced Laviska Shenault the said “I think that’s some kind of flower?!” My wife got into the spirit and started giving nicknames to some of the nub fans, and she remained “neutral”.

After the game I got the forced “congrats” from the olds. Before the game while walking to the gate, a guy playing an accordion stopped to mention that I was a little too young to remember past meetings...I turned to my wife and mentioned that I grew up on this rivalry, my salt and pepper beard should have gave me away.

I was almost like I should be nice, then I checked Facebook and saw the blatant bull**** being thrown at me, and how I should reconsider my allegiance to the Buffs, and if I spent any time on campus, I’d reconsider.

I mean, I dislike crowds and trendy districts, and I don’t think I’ll be back on a campus in a student capacity any time soon, if ever again. So, I don’t think I’m going to spend much time on campus - unless it’s to go to Folsom, or the event center. I think out of state grad school tuition would be a killer.

That's cool, good to hear.

I thought the Husker fans were pretty nice.

Last night was great. Lots of blacked out CU fans

What was the argument for reconsidering your allegiance to the Buffs? That sounds weird. Short of a PSU, bailer, or tini type situation, isn’t someone’s team pretty much their team?
