One year ago today, Karl Dorrell was fired as CU HC

Actually, I feel bad for saying that, I have no personal animus towards Dorrell, at the same time he was tragically unsuccessful.
He wasn’t a 1-11 bad coach. The University and AD failed him just as much and he came to a bad situation at the worst possible time (NIL and portal eras starting).

He wasn't as bad as the results. RG suggested that it would be really good if CU could avoid getting involved in the NIL game and KD assured him he didn't need it to succeed, that he had a plan.

KD was in so far over his head as a head coach in this era. I am close friends with one of largest UCLA boosters. They told me the same thing about KD when he was the head coach at UCLA. I stuck up for him and felt it was circumstances. However, at CU it was apparent he was clueless. His outbursts at reporters, his inability to recruit, gameplan, teach, lead, build a program and leverage his AD for additional budget, show how unprepared he was. There have been a couple of absolutely terrible coaches at CU, KD is the worst and its not close. He took an average program and drove it to the lowest levels in all of college football in record time. He owns that and is directly reflective of him.
