I was just taking a look through the Rivals database, and it looks like the big dog in-state schools in Texas have all pulled in a lot of early verbals.
Texas: 16
TAMU: 22
While programs like TCU (11), Texas Tech (7), Baylor (8) and even the next tier of Houston (9), SMU (6), and Rice (3) can be big competition for prospects who want to stay close to home, they're certainly not the in-state juggernauts that the Longhorns and Aggies are.
There's still a ton of uncommitted talent and I'm feeling pretty good about our chances at landing a solid group of guys from Texas for this class.
