I think he has to get into the playoffs, and win 2 games to keep his job.Kinda gotta think the James Franklin watch as begun.
Disagree-that league is probably getting 2 teams.....but Clemson won't be one of them.Bold prediction: Clemson wins out to 9-3 and sneaks into the playoffs as the team no one wants to play.

Miami and Georgia Tech both look like playoff teams to me......Miami I'd vote #1 after tonight.
YesAre these announcers drunk or just incompetent?
I think the ACC is better than the B1G this year.Miami I tend to agree on, they're better than I thought. As for who that 2nd team is to get into the ACCCG keep an eye on UVA, their schedule the rest of the way is right up there with Indiana's B1G schedule last year minus the tOSU game. Another team with a light schedule who could sneak in there is Cal. I expect GT to drop 1 or 2 along the way
Like 10-2 Miami got in last year? Like 9-3 Bama and Ole Miss each with a win over the SEC champion got in? That's not bold...I'll leave the rest unsaid.Bold prediction: Clemson wins out to 9-3 and sneaks into the playoffs as the team no one wants to play.

That isn't happening. They still have a trip to Iowa. I don't think you can rule out a loss there. They also have games at Ohio State and Indiana at home. Even if they survive all that......you can't lose to people like UCLA. Franklin is gone, but he'll get power conference interest (Oklahoma State?)I think he has to get into the playoffs, and win 2 games to keep his job.
Franklin’s buyout is $50+M. That’s quite the punishment for losing 1 gameThat isn't happening. They still have a trip to Iowa. I don't think you can rule out a loss there. Texas is looking at another loss next week-they look like an absolute mess, and Oklahoma looks a lot better to at least me. I'm sure Oklahoma takes an L, but its not next week. Sooners by double digits.
Another thought-Miami should be #1 in the country after today. Hard to not watch them compared to Ohio State and think that way.
Both things can be true…
I hated to like this because I hate Notre Dame almost as much as Nebraska but I think it's probably correct.Notre Dame is set up to run the table. 3 and 1 point losses to Miami & aTm aren't anything to be ashamed of.
