A&M and Auburn offenses aren't.This Purdue offense is fun to watch.
Well he if he didn't rip it away after the guy was on the ground it would have been a touchdown so I say he made a good play.Go Purdue
Love when a guy makes a 4th Down Interception that actually costs his team yards and celebrates like crazy
Knock it down, get more yards, but oh well, let's go
But, if your going to the ground, your number one task is to make sure the WR does not catch it, and to knock it down. If you catch it, or juggle it, or somehow allow the WR to rip it out of your hands, it could be a catastrophe. It is even more dramatically dumb on longer passes that they catch and fall to the ground, giving up a lot of yardsWell he if he didn't rip it away after the guy was on the ground it would have been a touchdown so I say he made a good play.
Yikes that Tulsa QB is never gonna forget that **** up.
All logic says you are right.Go Purdue

I can respect that thinking, just wonder about game awareness, and you answered it in a very logical wayAll logic says you are right.
I still want the guy to intercept the ball.
I want my defenders to always be thinking take the ball away from the other team. I don't want them thinking about it's 4th down or field position or anything else, just get me the ball and hold on to it.
This isn't any different than the question about a DB intercepting the ball on a throw deep downfield on third down. Sometimes that results in better than a punt for the offense but I still want him catching it. If he catches it the ball is ours. That is the mentality I want from my players.
Another moral victory for the Nubs!
