Other games 11/28 - 11/30

Ties should absolutely be a thing in regular season college football. No reason to take that out of the game.
A tie is a tie, neither a win nor a loss, sometimes it's the right outcome of a game.

If a coach really doesn't want a tie there are usually decisions that can be made that make the tie unlikely. Over the course of a game they can go for it on 4th downs, go for 2 after a TD, etc.

In playoff games or a conference championship then play an extra quarter of sudden death (with each team guaranteed at least one possession.)

The current system, even before you get to the 2 point tries, takes whole parts of the game out. You take out the kicking game, you take out the deep passing game.

It was 54 extra plays. Ain’t happening. I like the old rules.
Oh. So the most extreme outlier game resulted in some players maybe being on the field for as many snaps as Travis Hunter plays on average? And that justifies changing the overtime rules? Fvcking ridiculous.

Bugeaters pulled the same crap in Boulder. Walked through our pregame activities. Tried to "pray" directly on top of the logo at mid-field...

Difference is Iowa has some security that told them do it elsewhere. Apparently that's what they were mad about...
It takes a special kind of asshole to do passive aggressive gamesmanship stunts and be such a coward you hide behind religion as your cover for it.

I'm fine with gamesmanship of walking through the other team's warmup or over their logo.

I'm fine with a team having a group prayer before the game.

I'm disgusted by someone being such a spineless douche that he'd want to do the gamesmanship stuff but be able to deny it by claiming that they were just praying. It's no wonder that this team isn't mentally tough and can't handle adversity.

Just waking up from the most insane college football game. GA Tech deserved to win that game but watching those crazy overtimes was very fun as a fan.

It was very cold. We brought all of our warm weather gear for the game so we were well-prepared but that humid cold really gets you.

TTU winning over WVU would be a great start to our day. That keeps all of the CU scenarios alive with the tiebreakers while eliminating several which would go against us.
Houston isn't beating BYU today, so take that off the table. What does that then do to the scenarios?

We'd need KSU to beat ISU. I think that's likely.

-And-

We'd need Arizona to beat ASU. That rivalry does get crazy with some wild games. And I'm not sure ASU is the more talented team despite having a much more successful season, so I'd say there's reasonable hope for an upset there.

I agree that Houston going on the road to beat BYU would take a near miracle. They have no offensive firepower and may have quit after losing on senior day & getting eliminated from bowl eligibility last week. Let's hope it doesn't come down to that tonight at 8:15. I think we'll need at least 3 turnovers and some special teams fortune to see a Houston upset - if they haven't checked out.

There are a couple of permutations where we would need a Houston W but BYU would be out of the running - that's the only way Houston could help us out. Mostly we just need KSU and UA to do their jobs.
