Their schedule is an absolute nightmare. They play Michigan, Oregon, Ohio State, Indiana, and Illinois in league play.......and are also going to Tuscaloosa in two weeks.
That's six losses alone.
Taking the timeout there gives them one extra play.
Because of the 2 min warning it meant they could run that QB draw and get out from under the goalpost without worrying about running the clock.
2 Minutes can be a lot of time.

Picked up 20 something yards in 2 plays on this drive. Surprised Sorsby didn't take off on 1st down.
Can be right either way. I think it was a good call rather than stand there watching the clock run.
