If anybody remembers the Tyler Prothro incident, same thing happened a little bit ago to Arkansas receiver, Jalen Brown. Announcers said they would not show a replay. Watching it live I was like “oh dear lord.”

WTF is going on at Syracuse?

I guess you can't play Clemson every week. 🤷

Speaking of blowouts ... Duke beating the Orange 38-3 in the 4th. Is Syracuse just that bad, or Duke that good?

Probably a little of both. Syracuse was beaten handily by Tennessee in week 1 and needed a minor miracle to beat UConn in OT in week 2. Then they lost their starting QB Angeli for the season during the Clemson game last week. If anything the Clemson game was the anomaly for them.

As for Duke, I haven't watched them but they have a good QB in Mensah and their 2 losses are at Tulane and the home loss to Illinois where it sounds like they made a ton of mistakes before the game got away from them.

Illinois has been wearing these Phil Simms era NY Giants style unis/helmet logo for a long time. Not terrible, but pretty mid *and* derivative. Not a great combo.

Wow, USC goes for 2 and gets it. Hmmm

Not sure why they went for 2 there but it worked out for them
Assuming that you can score on at least 50% of your tries it can make sense. If you make it then a TD and a convential XP give you the win. Miss it and you still have another shot at the 2pt to tie and go to OT.

For USC going to OT would be a disadvantage. They are on the road and the OT format starting with the ball on the 25 plays into Illinois hands with their dominant running game. USC is more explosive and should be more dangerous in open field situations. That just as the Illini pull of a big play in the passing game, then fumble away the ball in the red zone on a possession that could have almost iced the game.

When the receiver got tackled at the 5 or whatever, I was like, they better not fumble again.

And what did they do?

If USC wins this, I'm going to be so ****ing pissed.
