The irony of the two biggest brands that could have saved the Pac 12 by getting good, are doing so as they’re on their way out
Jinx! The irony of the two biggest brands that could have saved the Pac 12 by getting good, are doing so as they’re on their way out
Feels like the under's the play of the game, but I'll defer to @manhattanbuff on that.So you saying load up on CU against Cal next weekend?
What are the odds of Oklahoma having a single season head coach. This is a team that had playoff hopes at the start of the year and after the first couple games they believed it.
Since then it has been downhill fast but losing by almost 50 and getting shut out by Texas is a new bottom that many OU fans have never seen in their lifetimes.
It would be shocking if they moved on but Oklahoma had high expectations and they set high standards for the program. They don't do "wait till next year" very well.I can't imagine him being fired after 1 year unless they end up going like 4-8, then maybe. He's not the only first-year coach who is struggling, Cristobal and Pry are also off to rough starts.
They love BV in Norman. They know he doesn't have his guys on defense and they have no QB depth. He's not going anywhere. It would be shocking if they moved on but Oklahoma had high expectations and they set high standards for the program. They don't do "wait till next year" very well.
They do?They love BV in Norman.
First time in their history to lose by 30 or more points in consecutive weeks. They do?
OU fired him 10 years ago.
Also consider that they have not been in this position in a long time. OU hadn’t lost 3 in a row since 1998. They also hadn’t been shut out since then. They just notched the worst shutout loss in program history- 114 seasons. This was also the third largest margin of defeat in program history. The fact that it came against Texas is more irritating to the people in Norman. UT hadn’t shut OU out since 1965.
consider their remaining schedule:
- Kansas, who showed out much better against TCU
- @Iowa State
- Baylor
- @WVU
- Ok St
- @TT, who just gave Ok St all they wanted
the only game on that schedule that is a slam dunk is WVU-it’s not impossible that they go 2-4 the rest of the way and miss a bowl game… for the first time since 1998
the coach in 1998? John Blake, who they fired promptly.
Oooooo. That’s a big lock!So you saying load up on CU against Cal next weekend?
Banana suits?I get that every school/region has it's traditions, but if you have to get dressed up to go to a football game, you're doing football wrong.
