Essentially they are raised lettering or logos on that go at the front midpoint right above the face mask or the back plastic neck protector. The grey helmets from last year did not feature them, but this year's gold ones do.

One of the reasons why I don't like having the QB in the shotgun 100% of the time.
On that short yardage play for Oregon without the threat of a sneak the defensive front could just attack and penetrate. The gave up yardage instead of gaining the little they needed.
Now the Oregon defense stands up and gets them the ball back.

I agree but this conference has a bad rep and games like this keep it going. Oregon, USC and Washington need to stop ****ing us and win some of these games finally so this bull**** narrative can change.
