Two takes on what we saw today-
I'm not sure if I've said this on here, but I think the Big 10 will miss the playoff because they'll eat each other alive. Penn State has to play Michigan at home and Ohio State on the road in back to back weeks later this month. Michigan has to play at Wisconsin and then host Ohio State next month.....Thats before you start talking about teams like Iowa and Michigan State, who've got the talent to beat one of that league's contenders. The Big 10 will produce a champion with at least one loss.
As far as Oklahoma's mind-boggling loss.......WOW. Good for the fanbase I always saw as the lovable losers of that league when we were in it. As far as the playoff consequences in my mind......Oklahoma is done. I don't think you can survive a loss to a team that might finish AT BEST 6-6 at home and still find a way in. That conference isn't done, but their playoff hopes are on life support, since their lone remaining unbeaten (TCU) has to go to Norman still. The big winner is Washington by far. I think they'll run the table-Stanford is their toughest remaining game, and I think UW is good enough defensively to stop Bryce Love. UW gets both Utah and WSU at home, and I think they'll win both those games. I think the South champ is at best 9-3 or 10-2, and I think UW beats whoever it is.
Here's what I've got right now for a top 4
1. Clemson
2. Alabama/Georgia (Is anybody else in the SEC good enough to beat either of them?)
3. Washington
4. TCU or a Big 10 champ
