Exactly. It's a tough position to be in to have it be your job as a former glory days hero to come back and try to rebuild your former program that's a mess. It's better if a nobody does that, the expectations are too high and the objectivity too low.I am.
Point being - a hometown hero, part of the glory days, brought in to bring their alma mater back to prominence. EXCEPT, they are too emotional about what they are doing for the position they are in to their own detriment.
Now that they are entering the Big 10 part of their schedule, Nebraska is staring down a 1 or 2 win season for sure. They shouldn’t be favored against anyone except for maybe Illinois. He may get to try that again with the Fuskers.
Duke 7-0 at **** bailer
I think a significant percentage did not think it was an awesome idea. It was just what we were stuck with so we hoped for the best.I still can't quite believe the entire CU fanbase really talked itself into believing that hiring 2 guys who didn't even have experience as coordinators to run the football program was an awesome idea.

Here they are. Enjoy.
I don't get why Okie State is ranked top 25. Apparently beating Missouri State and South Alabama is enough?
Reporter: what are you going to work on this week?
HCSF: What are we going to work on? Football.

I was there when EB and JE helped turn around around the program that was a laughing stock. A lot of us let that cloud our judgment.I still can't quite believe the entire CU fanbase really talked itself into believing that hiring 2 guys who didn't even have experience as coordinators to run the football program was an awesome idea.
Two games in and dude is already getting testy with the media
Nebraska currently has the nation's longest streak without an 0-2 start. Last happened in 1957.
