P12 to make any team that is unable to play through their own fault, eg COVID, forfeit

To this, it seems that CU (and many PAC schools according to Wilner) have ramped up the vaccinations and will be at or very close to 100% by season.
That however, may do far less than we've been thinking on the Delta variant. I personally know 2 older relatives who had breakthrough cases and just learned of a a family of 5 (3 generations aged 2 to 70s) with it, with all but the 2 YO having been vaccinated.

Daily Camera today states that if a player has not been vaccinated, they must wear a mask to meetings. OK. That means nobody else is and that's a flaw. We all need to be masking up indoors especially in tight quarters, period. Even Gerg.
That’s the problem with these rules. Positive tests among vaccinated need to be treated much differently than positives among unvaccinated. Otherwise, this is likely going to cause more issues than last season

Delta changes a lot of things and who knows if we see another variant before the end of the season.

If a team can show that it is complying with all the protocols, 95% + vaccination rate for players (or even 100%) and 100% with coaches and staff along with masking in meetings and team activities, frequent testing, quarantining of any suspected positives, etc. then the rule should be more flexible.

Teams should be encouraged to comply with the rules and protocols, not to try to hide from them.

Those teams that don't take it seriously, hammer them.
