Money talks fellas, bottom line.
we can easily do 4+ days of that ... but you have to do it rightIt was $100 per day 10 years ago. My kids were done after 1 day. They'd rather go to the beach or pool. I did not argue. Don't know why or how anyone could do 4 days of that!
Brilliant analysis.Money talks fellas, bottom line.
This is the right plan. We did this at Universal last year and it was wonderful. Right in the middle of Spring Break. Huge crowds, but we managed to avoid the crowds and had probably the best family vacation ever. There's something really nice about sitting at the pool drinking a beer when you know you'll be heading back into the park on another two hours.we can easily do 4+ days of that ... but you have to do it right
go at rope drop and then head back to the hotel around lunch and lounge by the pool and then head back to the parks for dinner and the nighttime firework/shows ...
If I weren't so emotionally attached to my current sig line...I could just say you're an lomph loompa and call it a day. That's no fun even for you.
You guys got it. We went to WDW in November for ten days. Many days we didn't even leave the room until 1 pm. Probably spent as much time swimming as in the parks. Would leave if lines got too long and go do other things. Made sure we had Fastpasses for the longer line rides, and go at times where crowds were light so we could do popular rides over and over. We have the Vacation Club so annual passes are discounted, rooms are basically paid for already. We had days we went to the ocean, Kennedy Space Center, Aviation museums. Actually came back rested. This is the right plan. We did this at Universal last year and it was wonderful. Right in the middle of Spring Break. I am done with PAC12 and DirecTv and their bitch fight... **** them both. I will watch CU games and other PAC12 games without getting a dime to the conference our DirecTv..It is their own fault if they want to lose revenue. Idiots, it could be such a plush and financial gain to both, if they weren't so damn selfish and stupid.
P12 had a lot more to gain from that deal than DTV did. Cable/Satelite subscribership peaked years ago and has now hit an accelerating rate of decline. So, adding the P12N doesn't move the needle for getting new subscribers for DTV.
Cable, Satellite ‘Cord-Cutting’ May Hit 2 Million this Year
A stunning 6,200 American subscribers per day became “cord-cutters,” ..as millennials canned their pay-TV cable and satellite subscriptions in the second quarter of 2015. The Financial Times reported that approximately 566,000 discontinued accounts were logged from April through June.
The combination of steeply rising cable and satellite prices, and greater free choice on the Internet, is driving cord-cutting. The average cost of basic cable service has increased at an average compounded annual rate of 6.1 percent each year since 1995–more than twice the rate of inflation, according to the U.S. Federal Communications Commission.
Rather than responding to uncompetitive costs, however, cable and satellite providers are about to add an extra “fee” for sports. Consequently, Time Warner Cable is adding a $2.75 monthly charge, while Cablevision Systems Corp, satellite-TV and phone companies’ TV services will add $2 to $6 fee.
The cable/ satellite services plead they are just passing along the more expensive costs of distributing sports events that are their largest audience interest. Pay-TV providers claim they paid ESPN about $6 each month per subscriber last year, up from $4.77 in 2011. The cost by is projected to hit $8 per user by 2018.
With millennials leading the cord-cutting revolt, media stocks took a $50 billion plungelast week, after Walt Disney cut its earnings guidance, followed by Viacom, Fox and CBS reporting declining advertising revenues.

I HATE streaming. Can't stand it. I get pauses, glitches, intermittent HD, no ability to record, pause, replay, etc.The future of TV is streaming and apps. I am not sure how this plays out for the sports world but already the MLB is prepared to have 15 teams streaming in market games starting this season.
The Pac having more control of their distribution might be more favorable for them in a couple years. If the Pac is not already partnering with a provider to get a package online then they are fools.
We'll be cutting the cord this month. If the Buffs ever start to not ****ing suck, I'll figure out what to do to get the sports channels.

Yeah. I'm sure it'll get better.I rarely have issues but I also pay for increased speed.
Another thing to keep in mind is this technology is still in the beginning stages and will improve over time.
Who are you using for internet? We'll be cutting the cord this month. If the Buffs ever start to not ****ing suck, I'll figure out what to do to get the sports channels.
Comcast Xfinity. We've tried the trial periods for several of the major streaming services and it works great. Had to get a Roku box, though, as our "smart" tv wasn't capable of fast enough Internet for effective streaming.Who are you using for internet?
Just got my : "Thanks for being a loyal customer, now bend over as we increase your rates" email... Love paying these assholes to screw me.

depends on the package you carry... mine is going up $8 monthly the best I can calculate.I havent gotten mine yet. When it comes that will probably be enough to push me over the edge and cancel.
How much did prices increase?
Cut the cord in December and have not missed anything other than a very high Directv bill. Same thought with the Buffs but by the time they are worth watching again I think Pac will be online.
Next season will probably just borrow a family members creds if I need to watch them on the Pac.
I was being a bit tongue-in-cheek. I've streamed from my laptop to my big screen using a thunderbolt to HDMI connection. For some reason, and I have to take my MAC into Apple I guess, is that the sound doesn't stream. I also get spotty HD. Kind of on again/off again as well as brief pauses. Also, the streams I've done don't allow things you take for granted with satellite: Recording, Pausing, Replay, Slow Motion playback, etc.I don't watch a lot of movies and watch virtually no network TV. Almost all my viewing is sports related. My wife watches more than I do but a lot of her viewing is available over air.
If I could get a good streaming service with the PAC12 network I would be on it in a flash.
For DBT if you have a solid stream it isn't necessary to watch it on your laptop. Many of the new TVs will stream directly, for those that don't it is ridiculously easy to connect the laptop to the TV. Your laptop probably has an HDMI plug in it.
RalphieSpeaks and other cord cutters. What do you do for timeshifting CU games? I am often not home/available during CU away football and basketball games. I'm not sure how cord cutters always make themselves available at the exact time. Maybe my schedule is more complex. Consider me confused (and still paying Comcast).
