Stats that matter:
4. 41: Colorado improved to 4-1 by blasting Oregon State 47-6. It was the Buffaloes' most lopsided win in a conference game since defeating Kansas State 54-7 in the Big 8 in 1992.

Hawt just reminded me that the KSU game was also the date of my biggest win. Yes, KSU was so bad that my father offered that game up as the only one he would miss in order to attend our wedding.

That reminds me of a wonderful Lee Corso anecdote. In his fourth year as HC at Indiana, they played tOSU (still coached by Woody Hayes and the juggernaut they usually are) and when IU was simply horrible. IU hadn't beaten tOSU for 25 years. But for one brief shining moment ...

It all allegedly started in 1951, when Indiana University beat the Woody Hayes-coached Ohio State Buckeyes. Woody vowed he would never lose to Indiana again, and he didn't.

But in 1976, for one brief moment, Indiana took a 7-6 lead on Hayes' Buckeyes. It was the Hoosiers' first lead against Ohio State in 25 years. The moment wasn't lost on Indiana coach Lee Corso.

After allegedly trying to quit the game, Corso opted instead to call a timeout. He wanted a picture in front of the scoreboard, with his entire team, to commemorate the fact his team had an early second quarter lead over Indiana's perennial bully.

Indiana lost the game, 47-7.

The point of the story? Enjoy the moment as long as it lasts ... but also realize it's just that, a moment in time that may or not last for long. Here's hoping it does ... I'm optimistic.

Why would you get married in the fall.

This! A million times this. A very good friend started telling us last year that he was going to get married in '16. We told him to avoid the fall. He scheduled his wedding on Elk opener. A solid 30% of us that were supposed to be in his wedding have told him we can't be there. It has caused all sorts of tension. It what asshole lives in Co and schedules his wedding then?

Between football and hunting a fall wedding should really be avoided at all costs.

Solid friends!

I had a fall wedding. It was on a bye week. Didn't give much thought to he fact that future year anniversaries might be an issue. They haven't been.

Everyone knows a guy that always says something to the effect of, "turn in your man card, bro" when a male friend does non-respectable male things.
His WTF was more to the effect of you asking that question, it wasn't a lack of knowledge, on his part.
